bench stuck one inch of my chest...

I'm kinda curious about this too, i know you should strengthen the lats and work on bar speed..but is there a certain main move you should perform on ME bench day to help with this? Maybe like.. a 1 board press? ;)

I'm not a wsb guy so my advice is not suited for that but I would say your pecs are the lacking factor. The lats to me help press the bar right off your chest after that it is chest then tris.

Maybe you could incorporate some flyes into the routine

Smart-ass.....:D

Lat-work in the same plane as the bench, 1/2 boards presses and speed work can all help get past a bottom sticking point.

Board presses and lat work should do it. Chest and Triceps come into effect mainly an inch or more above the chest really.

Not a bad point. In addition to what's been mentioned, perhaps using pause press and pin press to help exploding off the bottom. For working the chest, perhaps some illegal wides and 1-2 board presses with a cambered bar.

Or not. Just throwing out ideas. :D

Number 1 factor is leg drive I feel...next would be lats...then chest

Floor presses will help...reverse band work (I haven't tried this though)...also how tall are you?
