Basic Power Training Questions

my goals are to keep my weight down, while increasing my strength.
I know low reps with high weights and long rests are essential.
but what should my diet look like in comparison to a regular muscle building diet?
how often can i train? and how do the risks of over training on very on a strictly power training schedule.

if i was you, i would look into needsize's 5x5 3 day routine if you are looking for stregth as it has been working very well for me in the past 2 weeks, up almost 20 lbs in all compound exercises. Or if you are wholly into powerlifting, take the plunge and the time requirment to learn Westside Barbell lifting style. Anyway as for the diet look for a macronutirient split of about 30/50/20 protein carbs and fats. The problem is, gaining stregth and keeping weight down to the best of my knowledge are too goals that dont go well together. Though if you keep your cals to about 200 over your AMR and are eating clean food 6 days a week, weight gain should not be substantial with all the heavy lifting. You may also want to throw in some cardio 20-35 min max just to increase your aerobic threshold, thus increasing your ability to do work and make heavier lifts. That is from the words of Dave over at elitefts. Thats about all i know about gaining strength, feel free to ask me or more qualified sources more questions.
