I included on my chest days barbell pullovers..It really stretches your ribcage..

Do you guys do barbell pullovers? Do youuse heavy weight?

My knowledge is that exercise should not be done by using heavyweight...

Any opinions?

My knowledge is that you do this excercise with as much weight as you can with correct form. That is how you will grow. That is my opinion.

This excercise is good, I usually use dumbbells though, but everyone is different. Its good for your ribcage or what is your lower lat.

jus' tellin' it like it is...

As long as you feel the stretch in your ribcage then you are fine.

GreekGodGen,

You are a big follower of ARnold aren't you? you recommend 50 pullups and seem to do dumbbell pullovers....these are taken from his encyclopedia..just curious that's all.

Why do people do pullover with chest. They don't work the chest, and it's never been proven that one can expands his rib cage. You have what you have, just like you can't make your bones bigger. I do them on back day, because your actually using your lats more then anything. I do 170 pullover's and my rib cage looks the same as always, but my lats have seen major gains.

I just recently read that you should do light squats in the 15-20rep range(make sure you breath in very deep before every squat) superseted with pullovers. That should expand your ribcage.

I like Arnold and understand that pull ups palms out is a bitch to master. If you can do 50+ in a row, a task most men won't try, you should be the first flying man. I've been a believer in it, cause it works for me. I learned db pullovers from another guy, at the gym about 2 yrs ago, never new that was in Arnolds book. Actually I haven't even really looked or read through Arnolds book, I have learned from those around me and through trial 'n' error.

But I am an Advocator of "some" of Arnold's methods.

does it matter the way u do the DB pullover? because i been laying on the bench instead of on the side having my middle back on the bench whateva u know wha im trying to say........does it matter?

i don't lay on the bench. i just have my shoulders on then stretch my torso down toward the floor. this gives me a better stretch when doing this exercise.

Don't be morons. You can't expand your ribcage without surgery.

Dr Noe is absolutely spot on.

Thanks for backing me up bro, hey guys just maybe if you stretch your necks hard enought, maybe your height will increase. Just joking.
