I finally got to see close-up shots from what SG posted...you look awesome and you are so pretty too. GREAT job overall!

I know it's been a hella long time since I posted. I've been peeping in from time to time. Life has really gotten to me lately. Mom's still in the hospital, but eventually will be OK even though she's been through hell.
It's been a struggle for me to find a balance in my diet since competition dieting is over. I'm really not good at moderation, so I either go totally strict or eat like a pig. Lately it's been like every other day I switch between the two. Training has been on though. I've been super strong...workouts have been intense.
Trying to get back on track......I'll try to get around to everyone's logs.

I hope things get better soon. I am glad to hear you are able to still workout, I hope it is relieving some stress. The eating thing I am sure will work itself out (heart)

I can totally relate to the balance issue ...

Honestly, for training, you can consider the one body part a day plan as Shadows plan encompasses & he often suggests (sorry don't mean to speak for him) I think that would be good for maintainence if you are looking for something fresh, new & gets you in the gym 5-6 days a week ... to keep the mind busy. Just tweak as needed. As for diet, 12-15 cal range for mini bulk? even up to 18? Clean bulk? Dirty Bulk?

I put size on both legs & delts, as well as lats by hitting them hard ... re: legs ... doing alot of stair work, weighted steps up, plyo's, sprints ( I didn't ever do squats really although atf can help round the booty as well :) *credit to my friend Mak* ) .. I hit alot of wide grip to pull out lats & left a day for shoulders alone these days ... Sometimes I hit chest / back, shoulders / bis & tris, and split legs for training although I do not think you have to split them .. . (hitting each twice a week) but I just did alot of experimentation & my body responded well to it as well as to change coming off the Shadow Plan. My body also likes the random Giant Set every so often :D

I do one bodypart/ wk now and I'm liking that. Got some good ideas for the legs from that, and I think I will give one day to just shoulders..I normally do them with some other bodypart. I guess I'll shoot around 2000 cals and tweak as needed. That's like 15x my bw. I'm thinking it will be a good idea to keep my foods pretty clean, since I have the tendency to say f it when I'm given an inch. OK I'm rambling....

Glad to hear you are ok & that you're still able to hit the gym - I found it was a great stress reliever for me.

Hey Badger! I'm right there with you on your goal. I'm trying to add size without increasing my bf. I find that I have to eat "mostly" clean but I give myself a NICE break on the weekends :D I'm up a few lbs pretty much the same bf. Hate to say it, but I haven't bothered with fitday for a couple of months now. What are your stats now? Is 1800 12, 13, 15, etc. x your bodyweight? I think body type matters too. Some will say it doesn't, but an endo will have a much harder time losing bf than a meso or ecto....so I really do think it counts.

Sorry to hear mom is still in the hospital, but it's good to hear she WILL be ok eventually. :heart:

I weigh 135 now (almost 15 lbs since show ;) ) so 1800 cals is like 13x my bw. I think I'm a mesomorph.
What do you do for cardio now Scorp? I was thinking like 2 or 3 20 min. pwo sessions a week? You think that's enough?

Hey you!!! Well I'm not scorp but I'm adding my own .02 cents anyways hehe...
I think if you do 3 30 min sessions a week you'd be good :) And I noticed when I switched it up and did intervals on the treadmill or on the stair stepper is when I started losing inches although maintaining weight (was adding some muscle at the same time is why :) ) Hope that helps ya some girlie ;)

A way to gage if you're a meso.....hour glass! lol I've been playing with my cardio a little bit these days, but when I was cutting I would do 3-4 20 min. HIIT sessions a week and that was just dandy! :) Since you're not cutting, I would say 2-3x a week would probably work for you.....given that your diet and training are both in check too, of course. ;)

How you doing with the post comp mental thing? ....oh yah, hide your blubber!!!! RIIIIGHT - I think NOT! lol

I know all about the extra mom stress and the hospital BELIEVE me!!!
You're doing really good. Yeah I'm tight on the diet myself.. and just about every other day I'm eating something off the plan.. Just takes time...
My training has been on also. So you are doing it... Just be happy with what you are able to achieve at this point!!!

I don't know about hour glass :rolleyes: ...I've always been pretty middle-heavy...apple shaped I guess it's called.
I'm a total mental case, but I don't know if I can blame that entirely on post comp. :) Getting fatter is messing with my head though. You know, it's hard when you're used to seeing yourself for months all cut...but it's just not realistic or doable to stay like that all the time. I feel like a total fat ass, but I know I'll get over that. Thanks for your input Scorp ;)

Well, if you check your pms you will see that I tried to respond to your .02, but I was having technical difficulties :)
I like your ideas of varying the kinds of cardio.....I'm sick to death of running on the treadmill. I don't want to overdo it w/ the cardio, though. I'm not trying to lose bf at this point, just maintaining, and since I'm doing a little mini bulk, I don't want to risk catabolism from too much cardio.

I know in my head I'm not really fat, but it's just hard adjusting. 135 may not seem like much weight, but I was 122 3 weeks ago

I know it's difficult, but it's not realistic or healthy to stay at competition weight all the time.....Just try & think of this as the next evolution in your journey.....

Great point Jens. Badger ... hang in there girl :) If you are doing a mini bulk it may weigh heavy on that mind of yours, when the #'s increase, you feel 'fat' etc, stay focused on the goal & like Jens said "next evolution in your journey...." :)

OK! I thought about starting a new journal, but I'm not ready to part with this one. I've been really unmotivated since my show, which was 2 months ago today.
I've still been lifting hard, but eating like shit.
So...I've gained 20 pounds!! I know some of it is to be expected, but I don't want to put on too much and make it more difficult for me to cut again. I definitley want to do another show in the Spring. So, for now I'm bulking...but clean.
I've learned that I can't do anything half-ass, or I totally fall off the wagon.

Here we go again!!!!!!!

Guuuuuuuuuurl.......I TOTALLY know how you feel!! I did the same thing after my show......so you're not alone......have you tried Shadow's 40/30/30 plan?? It's pretty forgiving & you can have a LOT of variety on it......

I did feel strong last night. You know, I started taking PureCee before my workouts about 2 weeks ago. I think I do notice an increase in power from it.

Kind of slept in I guess. I don't ever get up too early..I guess 10 is the norm. I'm on a different schedule than the rest of the world. :)

It's so hard to eat clean again after taking some time off. I don't understand how I was so disciplined before, but so not now. :)
 
Yeah... YOU are far from fat there little missey!!! Good luck with the clean eating and adding muscles I'm sure you'll be there in NO time at all!!!

Girl I know this feeling u r not alone... I am in your same boat! I want to say it takes a bit of guts to post off season pictures and knowing what you looked like on stage back in July. Good Job! People only want to post cutting pictures... I know that feeling all to well. I did post some during my last season bulk. I will in due time this year as well...

I don't think you're "fat" at all, but I understand what you mean & how you feel......once you've had an "on season" the off-season/normal becomes not normal & can be hard to get used to.....

Try to use this stage as a means to an end or a new stage of your training.....

Thanks Treil. It was hard to post these pics, but I want to use them as a gauge for how much muscle I add over the winter. I'm glad you know where I'm coming from. It can really screw with you mentally.

I think you're absolutely right Jens. I need to set new specific goals for myself. That's what helped to keep me disciplined before.

I've really been too busy to keep up with my log, but I"m still here. Diet hasn't been great, but I'm working on it. Workouts are good, although I should be doing more cardio.

Hit a new PR tonight in the gym. :dance2:

O.K. I can't take it anymore. I need to cut. I've added a descent amount of muscle over the last four months, so it's time to see what's under this winter coat. I know it's soon, but I feel like if I don't do it know it won't ever happen.
My training has been consistent, but diet has not.
Starting tomorrow, the plan is changing. Here it is:

Training:
Sun: Chest + anterior delt + 20 min. pwo cardio
Mon: Back + Posterior delt + 20 min. pwo cardio
Tues: Off
Wed: Legs (quad concentration) + Abs
Thurs: Arms + Medial delt+ calves+ 20 min. pwo cardio
Fri: Off
Sat: Legs (ham concentration) + abs

Thanks to Bunny for letting me jack some of your training ideas and motivation. I still want to add some size to my legs and shoulders. My arms grow so easily, and I feel like they were getting a little out of proportion, so I'm not concentrating on them so much. All my workouts will start with a ten minute warmup on the treadmill. Everything will be much faster-paced....higher reps, lower weight. I can't fit in morning cardio now, so this will have to work. I may add more later.

Diet:
Monday I'll begin a five-day carb deplete to get me started. Then I'll start carb cycling: High, Low, Low
High days: 150 g Low days: 50g
On the high days I'll shoot for 1800 cals, low days 1500.

Sups:
I just ordered levorex, so I'll give that a try. (I can't handle stimulants)
I'll also be using Glucorell before meals, Ms. power pack multis, Purecee until I run out, and probably some extra calcium.

I'm already planning to cheat next Saturday(birthday), thanksgiving, and christmas. But that's it.
I'll post pics later w/ stats. :worried:
