As far as cutting, has anyone here tinkered with a diet involving low GI carbs with 1st meal, 2nd meal postworkout (simple carbs), and starting with the 3rd or 4th meal on, replace the carbs with good fats? I am looking to cut my last bit of body fat over the next 5 weeks, and not completely cut out carbs. I don't have much fat at all to lose, just would like to drop a percent or 2, already at 7-9% roughly (been a few months since my bf was tested) but havent gained fat. Also, I am using YES and Trex, along with PureCEE, Glucorell R, eat extremely clean as it is. Any info/advice/tips will be greatly appreciated.

This should work very well for you assuming calories are in check. Sounds like you know what you're doing.

One thing I would amend is your post workout meal (not the shake), normally taken 45min to 1.5hr AFTER your shake. You still want carbs in this meal, though, they should be medium/low GI/GL, such as: brown rice, yams, sweet potato, oatmeal, etc. Consume with a lean protein source and fibrous veggies, with water. Everything thereafter can be P+F if need be.

Thanks for your replies Stryc-9 and Sawastea. Sawastea, that was another thing I was debating, whether or not to cancel carbs for that 3rd meal. Thanks a ton for your insight.

Eat Carbs before training, pwo in your shake(use dextrose), and in your 3rd meal using low GI carbs like yams and oatmeal.

That is exactly what I'm doing, thanks for the reinforcement. Every meal after will be high protein as always and flax, unless I'm eating a cold water fish source. and of course a cup of green veggies. I wanted to gain some size in my legs, but that's contradictory to the diet, huh?
