I'm not a big bench...just not me. After all my back problems and braking my collar bone...its just been a struggle.
I was seventeen (155lbs) had benched 275 for over 15 reps and had my collar bone broke and had to start over. I had to use just the bar again and needed help...that was one of the hardest things I had ver gone thru. I felt really weak again and it took 4 months before I got the big plates back on.
Last week while moving plates around....I threw them on the bench while squating and took a look at it. I never have a spot...But I picked up 365 off the rack and set it back down and then did it again. I sat and thought man i don't push it hard enough. maybe its time for a workout partner.
Don't know, only use Dumbells for flat press....I do 245 for triceps on the flat CG though....now hitting a 300 bench w/ dumbells, that'll be fuckin' impressive....I'm at 210 now. =)
umm when i was 17 years old i cold bench press 285 for 3 reps on my 4th set but i never tried 300... than i tor my acl in LAX and got surgury and now i do dumbells so im not sure.... I'll let you guys know if i do, until than im just a little BITCH !
