Assymetry question

Jeus

New member
The last couple of weeks, I have been feeling that my chest ,biceps & legs have become assymetrically bigger than my back and shoulders. So, I would like to develop my back and shoulders and also, my forearms and keep my chest, biceps & legs steady for a while. My question is, would it be wise to work out my back twice a week, my shoulders 3 times a week, while my chest & biceps once? Would that be too much training for the shoulders? I am not a huge body builder and I've only been weight lifting for 8 months so I assume, I wouldn't really develop by working each body part once a week. The split I've been considering is:

Day 1

Back & Triceps

Day 2

Shoulders & Forearms

Day 3

Back & Legs

Day 4

Shoulders & Forearms

Day 5

Chest & Biceps, Light Cardio

Day 6

Shoulders & Forearms

Day 7

Abs & Cardio

Any suggestions?

Whatsup bro? Please post how long you have been lifting because I am curious. :):)

Anyway I wouldnt suggest trying to bring up more then one bodypart at a time. Its best to put all of your efforts into bringing up ONE lagging bodypart and maintain with the rest rather than try and focus on 3-4 and maintain the rest. I would only recommend working each muscle ONE time per week.

Day 1
Back & Triceps
Day 2
Shoulders & Forearms
Day 3
Back & Legs
Day 4
Shoulders & Forearms
Day 5
Chest & Biceps, Light Cardio
Day 6
Shoulders & Forearms
Day 7
Abs & Cardio

I definitely would not recommend doing a split like that.. not to offend you this is just my opinion but working your back on Day 1, then again on Day 3, would prevent your back from growth. You muscle need to RECOVER. Thats the entire point of working out. You workout and tear down your muscles and give them time to recover and GROW. Also working out 6 Days a week wont get you anywhere. I recommend 4 days a week and 5 at the MOST. Preferably 4. Good luck!!

MonStar, thanks for the reply. As I mentioned, I've only been training for 8 months, but very religiously and I have managed to make really impressive gains, considering I've not been doing this for a long time. I have been told that working each body part once during the week works for advanced body builders but doesn't work semi-newbies like me . I suppose I could space the 2nd back work out later in the week. But is the 3x shoulder & forearm work out a good idea, since it's a smaller muscle group that recovers faster? I can live with my back, but my bics & trics are too big compared to my shoulders.
