Are you metrosexual and if you are, are you used to being accused you're gAE? Do you just laugh it off knowing you are scoring chics with that gAE style of yours so who cares what people think or do you get offended?
I offended my friend and her bf b/c I indirectly teased that her boyfriend's profile is very gAE.
He's mid 40's, never been married, no kids, only a handful of serious girlfriends .
He's a successful banker, nice $50k car. He dresses well, gets his clothes taylored.
He's decently handsome, not shy, fit.
He's okay with not having sex until marriage.
He has strict morals, being a conservative non-Westerner.
She claims he has no problems getting hard and is passionate.
They've only met for 1 week as they met online and they just skype everyday. They will be engaged to be married soon- is their plan.
When she read off the list and said "Yeah, people would wonder why he's still available." I chimed in and said most people would say "He's GAE!"- LOL. I thought it was funny.
She told me to NEVER bring it up again and that it was inappropriate and he didn't appreciate the comment either.
I tried to make things better, but only made things worse a few days later when I said. "Okay, he's not gAE, but he's definately metrosexual." She said, "What's that?" I said, "A straight guy who does things like a gAE guy as far as knowing how to dress, take care of himself, and..." She cut me off and said "I gotta go!" Haven't heard from her since. She'll forgive and forget as avoidance is how she deals with things vs talk them out. Still SHEESH.
Who here would NOT think his profile is sort of well...."gAE!"? Or, at least metrosexual.
Yes, there are guys like this, but they are SO rare most of us cynics have a hard time believing they exist: men who are handsome, fit, sweet, successful, respectful, moral, who haven't slept around, who are willing to "wait", etc... He's a rare one...
ADDITION TO THE OP:
I'm realizing there's really more to the original list in the OP. I should edit it. The OP list was what we were talking about when I popped the joke. The rest of the list is what my subconscience was gathering and that should explain better where my joke jumped out from:
- his going back to the mall to buy Banana Republic jeans for $70- he can afford it and willingness to just go shopping the whole time when they go on trip
-his totally willing to be her b*tch (He's fine with her being "the new sheriff in town") and calling all the shots
-his willing to NOT even go to 2nd base. His response to that: "As you wish." -JUST like Princess Bride. He walked out of a fairy tale!
-his NOT wanting to even let HER talk dirty to him. She tried and he said they hadn't even met yet. They met and she tried again and he says "I don't want to talk like that. I LOVE you and respect you."
I don't want to push the point that he's gay and though I think he's at least quite a bit Metro, he's really such a PURE guy. And b/c he's so pure she's protecting him like a child and neither can take a joke on this topic. Just saying where my joke jumped out from- all this in the BIG picture. This guy is so PURE he's a unicorn and now I'm convinced they exist if a guy like this exists too.
When you say "Non-westerner", is he a fundamentalist Muslim? If so, that explains his ways, but it also might be a huge danger flag for women who maybe aren't 100% understanding of that cluture, and are possibly about to become his personal property (the way they feel a wife should be).
