I think biologically speaking, everyone is bisexual. It's just social conventions that hinder people from mentioning what they are

Homosexual tendencies are generall y more common among men than women. It is simply more socially "acceptable" for women to be attracted to women because it isn't considered unfeminine.
There is this neanderthal version of masculinity which says that gay men are somehow less "manly" so many guys either suppress their same-sex urges so that they are not conscious of them, or don't act on them.
Another thing to consider is that same-sex activity among guys is a lot more common than you realise, but women's same-sex activities are given more publicity, and women feel freer to mention these urges/behaviour.

I think this is true. Although i'd suggest that there would be a hard core 5-10% on either side of the homo-hetero spectrum who would be either one of the other despite social conditioning.
For example, gay guys are brought up constantly being told that to be straight is an ideal and taught to feel repelled by same-sex activity, yet we still ended up gay. TheDarkSideNinja's comment that a guy's dick makes him feel like chucking is an example of what I mean.
For the other 80-90% of the population I'd agree that they are basically bisexual biologically and that environmental conditioning is responsible for the rest.

I liken it to the fact that your sister or your mother may be real hotties, but I haven't met many guys who feel consciously sexually attracted to their mother or sister. Social conditioning puts a taboo on this, so you grow up without this attraction.
If you'd never met your hot sister or your mother, and you saw them as stranger walking down the street, there is no reason why you wouldn't find them attractive. We've all heard of those horror stories of people finding out their wife/girlfriend is their long lost sibling, hehe.

In clubs you see a lot of girls 'acting' like they're bis. When they see the guys checking them out, especially on the dance floor, you'll see some girls kissing each other. They're not truly bis, they just like putting on a show for the guys, knowing they like it. Women often tease that way.

why not a dog or cat I think that being bi is a form of being insatiable and greedy. I have friends that are gay and they all know my views and I've tried to understand theirs, but everytime a gay person tells me theyre version on why theyre gay ....it just doesnt make sense, no rational sense anyway. The sheer amount of ignorant homophobia on this board makes me laugh. I consider myself 100% straight, but some of the opinions expressed around here make me embarassed to be a guy! Homosexuality is something you are born with, so to make ignorant comments about someone because thats the way they were born, basically its just another form of racism. And its pretty rare that you see any one with an IQ over that of a toaster who is a racist or shares those uneducated points of view.
And to those that think its not something you are born with, I'd like to see youre proof. I'm a social worked and work with kids. Homosexual tendancies begin to show up in children long before they have any idea what sexuality even is.

I have a degree too Einstein, but I also have many years in the field as well, which you obviously dont, which teaches a lot more then a text booke ver could. You obviously feel a need to look cool in front of your buddies by posturing if a gay guy comes up to you. I have had that happen to me many times, I take it as flattery, let them know I'm not interested, and leave it at that. I even have close friends that are gay, who gives a shit what their sexual orientation is, as long as they respect mine.
If you are actually starting graduate school in a few semseters, then that says a lot about the educational system that you are a part of. Well, it probably makes no sense to you because you're not gay. Some people choose not to understand things, and some people, like you, might actually want to try to understand something, but can't simply because you're not feeling the same thing as a gay person. I know that this isn't the best comparison, but it's like someone like me trying to understand why Jeffery Dahmer killed people. We can have ideas, but I still don't understand. I'm not him. I haven't been thru what he's been thru. I don't have the same genetic makeup as he does, etc. etc.

Now can that be becuase i love learning about the right way to train or can it be i wanna make $$$. Obviously since i stated above i will be working in a research lab in the near future it's prolly a lil bit of both. The human body is a fascination of mine as well certifications look great on an Ex. Phys. resume!!! I am not here to brag and can care less what u or anybody for that matter thinks of me i know who my friends are on the boards so thats not even a question bro. Also been reading tons of posts on diff. A.S. boards for over 1.5 yrs now and have learned a lot of valuable info. but also saw a lot of crap. For the ones who knew what they were talking about and ones that led me in the right direction i gotta thank them from the bottom of my heart to the others what can i say? If u ever feel like comparing workout routines, diets, or pictures im all game since i feel i have the upper hand but as far as A.S. goes i'm still learning a great deal about them. I know what my first cycle will be and i know what my training and diet is going to look like and what supps etc i will need so i didn't want that last statement to seem like i have no clue when we talk A.S. becuase i could hold my own on that topic!!! I wouldn't be surprised if in the future the whole idea of a relation is revamped to better suit this trend in pure physical pleasure.
