Apprentice...

One sensible linear approach to weight loss is to do 1 thing at a time and get that tuned in. If you were to go hire an expensive coach, they would get your diet in order, then decide on training, then consider supplements. In that order.

If you throw the kitchen sink at this then you never have any idea what is working and what isn't. So i would work on the diet until you lose 1 or more lb a week, 2 weeks in a row. Then you know diet is in check. Then training. Keep doing what you are doing now in the meantime until you get those successfull 2 weeks in a row. Once that's done, then pick a solid training program with years of proven results. 5x5 is one of the best to get started with. Go into the lifting forum for details on this program.

Then and only then, once you feel comfortable with the diet and training, seeing changes in the mirror (scale might not change now that you are lifting), then consider "fat burners" and other supplements.

Remember, kitchen sink = clusterfuck = typical gym goer constantly changing programs and doing bicep curls = little to no results.
Exactly man. I like onebreaths advice.

Allright, just so i can be exact about whats going on with me, cause now im getting a little confused... I just recently wrote down everything i did in one day, and from what i can see, im either way off, or kinda thinking in the wrong way.

I wake up around 9:00 in the morning.
Calories Protein

Breakfeast is 1 Quaker instnat oatmeal packet. 170 4g
mixed with 1/2 cup of FF Milk 45 4.5g

1st workout consisting of pushups and situps
finished with cardio on treadmil, about a 10 min
up and down rate.

Then protein time.... So i have my brothers Xyience X-gainer
(even though i know i dont want to gain weight, i just figured
the amount of protein is what i needed atm)
16oz glass with 160g of powder = 390 43g

2nd workout: Swimming at the beach
Not sure about the distance, but its about one
life guard stand to the next, all without stopping or standing,
treading if neccesarry. When i reach the other lifeguard stand
i get out do 50 jumping jacks and about 15-20 pushups
Then just walking up and down to the beach to calm down.

Lunch 3 rold gold pretzels 110 3g
1 baby bella cheese 50 6g
1 can V8 70 3g
3 eggs 210 18g
1/3 serving of spinach 20 2g

4:00 is work...

around 6 i sneak in a met-rx big colassal 410 32

at 8 i have one more V8 70 3g

Once 9 passes my day is over in regards to eating. As i was told by others to do so,
By 11:00 12:00 for the first time in a long long time in going to bed....

The only other thing i can say i do throughout the day is drink lots of ice-cold water and take two GNC Mega Men pills...

And as for the math to save some time, my intake for this day was 1545 calories and 118.5g of protein.....

I was under the assumption that i should eat less and burn more calories than i take in, not exactly what ive been hearing from some people....
And this was more than i normally eat....

OB, how can i attain 2600 calories a day, and 216g of protein without seeming like im over doing it.....

And as for the test, both were realitivtly the same, if i had to choose, i would say i had a little more pep the day i just had eggs vs the oatmeal....

??? What am i not seeing....

Couple of things right off the bat. No more weight gainer shakes, met-rx bars, or pretzels. Those met-rx bars have a shit ton of sugar and i'm betting that weight gainer does too. I can't look it up because the product is discontinued. The pretzels have too much sodium and will cause you to retain water. This will mask your progress. If you can't measure progress then you don't know what's working and what's not working.

For now have your eggs spinach and cheese for breakfast. Have oatmeal with some milk and 50 grams of whey protein after your first workout. Then have the same after the swimming (if you go swimming, otherwise skip this meal).

Check out some of our sponsors and get some whey protein isolate. Make sure it doesn't have more than 3grams of sugar per serving. I like vanilla to go with oatmeal personally but go with whatever you think would be best.

For your last meal have 8-10oz of lean meat or fish and green vegetables.

Good to hear from you man. Im cuttin out all that garbage stuff and getting a protein supp. Hopefully ill be getting into the gym and hitting weights soon as well since now im getting my diet in order. Just need to kick this cold..... O and i sent you a pm.
