anyone here using these new vibram shoes?

The irony of Mr. Anti-marketing anti-corporation falling for an obvious marketing stunt is palpable.

hey dipshit, did you read that I bought them? wipe the cum out of your eyes and learn to read. The whole reason I brought it up is to see if anyone here has them AND WHAT THEY THINK OF THEM. I beleive that's called consumer research numbnuts. And besides, I wouldn't ask someone like you for advice on them anyway as if you had them it would be clearly a trend purchase where as a real athlete having them would have some valid opnions to share on them. Which is why, when I see crossfit beasts wearing them, I have to take notice.

And what marketing campaing have I "fallen" for? I wouldn't know fuck all about these things if I hadn't seen a guy wearing them and asked him about them. I haven't seen one commercial for them anywhere. Of course that will change if they become popular......so just stfu tebow!

Why so angry buttercup? A little consumerism beyond X-Box might be good for you. Who knows, it could loosen you up a bit.

I dont' have an xbox sugartits. And I'm annoyed more than angry..... if you have nothing to add about the footwear, leave.

Now see? If you'd just obtain gainful employment you could have an Xbox AND some of those super-cool Vibram shoes.

Heck, you could buy all kinds of cool things. Mabye that would make you less angry.

right, because I can't afford a $199 xbox but a $600 laptop and a 7k school bill passed budget? I mean just shut up. I can afford the shoes just not sure if I want them or not. So again, if you don't have anything of substance to offer over the shoes....shut up.

They are just a fad, a number of people that I run marathons with have moved to them. Most of us agree that they are just a fad.

Post once you have started running with them, I have heard of a large injury rate once starting out because of the difference in running technique. I hope you didn't jump over to the ChiRunning fad too ...

I've been running in them for several months, but only short distances. I also try to wear them about once/twice a week just around the gym at work. When you take them off and put normal shoes on you really feel how much support the regular shoes give you.

All I know is that whenever my hip and knee are hurting, I put them on and spend a morning in them and it helps relieve things. I do believe in the theory that we are way too dependent on artificial support from shoes since there are so many joints and ligaments in the foot and lower leg.

Yes, you look strange but if it works for you, then go for it. People have been running marathons barefoot for years, and really these are no different than Nike Frees.
