I am having a problem...can't seem to lose any more weight (have lost 20 pounds) after hitting my plateau about 3 months ago. I know, it always comes off easy at first, but my GOD! I do 40 minutes of cardio and weight train 4-5 times a week. Alot of my weight was "tranferred" from fat to muscle in the weight-loss process. But I am still 155 (5'3). I eat what I call pretty healthy and often (5-6 times a day). Any suggestions?!?

Thanks!

Oh, also I get a craving for sweets late at night (college student...up late studying). Any suggestions?!?

your sweet craving is fairly easy they are making protein bars that taste pretty much like candy bars and that is a good way to kill your sweet craving

You have to figure out all your calories that you take in everyday. Write down what you eat, at what time and the size of the portions. Go buy a food calorie counter at any book store, take your time at the store, there are alot of these books, buy the most detailed. Now start figuring out the amount of calories, protein, carbs and fats are being taken in and adjust accordingly. A good book to buy is Dirty Dieting by Dan Duchaine, this is a wealth of info and full of tricks. Remember to be honest when working out your list, this is not going to be easy, but the payoff in the end is its own reward.

yep

eating "healthy" 5-6 times wont cut it anymore. it has to be precise so you can learn how to feed yourself the right amounts. healthy eating may still mean that you are going over or just meeting your maintenance. if you are doing that much exercise and overeating, you are basically using all that cardio to just sit still. now keep in mind that you could very well be burning fat and building muscle at a very close rate also. keep in mind many of these factors and it will keep you motivated if everything else is in place.

look into some supps that could help get you past your plateau too. food, training, supps and rest are your things you can manipulate.

Keep eating clean and healthy.Maybe try an ECA stack and vary the cardio.Try doing some interval training and up the intensity on some days and do some longer say 60 minutes at a slower pace. You have to keep your body guessing because it gets accustomed to diets and routines so some variation has to be thrown in.

5'3 155 thats a sight. Well I would say to lay off the diet for about a month or so and just watch what you eat and continue to lift while still doing your cardio. and then maybe jusp back on a thermogenic supplement to shock your body again into fat loss again.

Thanks guys!

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions...I am getting on top of all this. I forgot, I am taking Xenadrine as well. 2 in the morning before breakfast and 2 before my afternoon workout. I got on the scale today for the first time in a week and have lost 2 whole pounds! Oh, and to PopiChulo...WHAT THE FUCK was "that's a sight". I bet you are some loser-tool! I would not even give a loser like you a second glance...GET A LIFEBut the rest of you rock...thanks again!

Try not to concentrate on the weight.
Pay attention to how your clothes fit, you will notice them
get loser as you continue.
That's the true test.

Good luck.:)

If possible, try cardio in the morning before eating, with ECA or xenadrine. I find it's way more effective at this time, I find I can lose a few lbs a week if I do it right.

try this.

1) Find your average daily caloric intake(ADCI). Add up all the calories you eat in 7 days. divide by 7. This is your daily caloric intake.

2) To decrease mass decrease calories. Most can loose fat decreasing their ADCI by 20%. Multiply your ADCI in step one by 20%. subtract the answere to the number in step 1. This is your new average daily caloric intake.

3) Find the fat calories. Low fat diets provide 15% fat. Multiply your new ADCI in step 2 by .15.

4) Subtract the fat calories in step 3 from the new ADCI found in step 2.

5) To fint protein requirements, multiply your bodyweight by 1 (or 1,5 if your body requires more protein)

6) To find protein calories, multiply the answere to step 5 by 4.(protein requirements x4.)

7) Subtract the answere to step 6 from the aswere to step 4.

8) To find carbohydrates in grams, divide the answere in step 7 by 4.

ok so i have a little thing for setting stuff up nice and tidy...but this works..trust me

oh yeah and the sweet thing.add some crom(sp?) to your diet..and your sweet tooth will go away
