Another Fun Sunday, 3-31-02

Glad to see that you changed shoes during your tire flip. You look to me like you had a great workout! You keep getting stronger and stronger!!! :)

That is the link to my next contest that I am currently training for. I will be in the 300lb weight class too.

My goal is basically to start with higher volume and lower weights at the moment and pick up the weight as the contest gets closer. I have a lot of base strength but I am working on my technique on every events (yoke, tire, log...etc...).

My foot feels a lot better too. I think that the change in shoes may have helped. I also changed my technique a bit.

Go to the contest man. If you qualify for the NASM in Sept/October in STL...I'll see you there. How old are you again? It should be NASS sactioned which means that there will be a teen division.

If you need any help/advice...just email anytime.

I'm 22. My buddy is 21. He competed in the qualifiers, weighed in at 220ish and dominated his class. He's a freak and he hasn't trained the events much at all. Just raw strength.

I only weigh 150 right now. They don't have many competitors in the light weight class though(up to 175 lbs), so I could get in the finl if I wanted. Thing is I haven't had much training with this at all, except farmers walks and I messed around with an atlas stone once. PLus I have at least 3 meets this year and I don't want this to take away rom my pogres. I don't know.

Compete for fun man...just go out there and compete for fun.

b fold, great job.. damn that tire is big.. how much does it weigh?

i see you implemented the saxon side bends into your routine,... i dont know if its just for me, but they are hard as hell even with a few lbs.

The new weigth of that tire is 1170...so I figure that the used weight is just about 1,000. Who knows...it may be 900-1050...I have no idea. It is A LOT heavier than my 600lber as well as the 800lb tire I used in Boston. I flipped the 800 tire 10-12 times in Boston fairly easy...I am not for sure if I can flip this heavy tire more than 2x in a row...I've yet to flip it more than once.
