i feel the same way as you, and im American, its a more midwestern/suburban thing . us city folk are less-likely to have a gun unless we are gangbangers/drug dealers/law enforcement.

and once again, for those of you who have been brainwashed by democrats, an assualt rifle, as defined by the federal government, consists of more than 2 of the following:

has a pistol grip.
has a detatchable magazine.
has a collapsable/telescoping stock
has a flash supressor (this is not a silencer)
has a bayonett lug
has a bipod
can accept a grenade launcher

they are no different than the rifles currently available to the general public. they are in no way, shape, or form more powerful or more 'deadly' than the rifles that are not currently banned. the only thing this banned was cosmetic features. it did not change the function of the rifle, whatsoever.

an assualt rifle is *NOT* an automatic weapon.
