Yeah, I need to work on my smiling. Thats one area I lack.

That maybe a very important point for you. In all reality, the girls may feel intimidated by you. Smiling will give a much greater chance of them opening up and looking at you, guaranteed -- because it shows them you can be pleasent and friendly (thus, more approachable). Smiling is important generally in human interaction.

Here is an interesting paragraph from an interesting German book about body language (translated):

"Is a smile a positive signal in every case?
Smiling always corresponds to a positive radiance, because from it arises a feeling of wellness, and the face relaxes itself. If the smile freezes, it is no longer a smile anymore, because every frozen movement is against the laws of nature and it terrifies us."

Very true. I've been told by a few of my close female friends that women can be just as intimidated by a good looking guy. I find when I put out the "safe to approach me" vibe... I get a lot more attention. Smiling.... laughin with your friends, saying "Hi" first..... etc.
