Relax, bro. I'm just trying to help out.. I'm looking for different types of experiences with ALA to determine exactly what's necessary for optimal results.
I started ALA 5 weeks ago, and stayed on for 3 weeks and ran out. I noticed after the first week that i would loose all vascularity and some energy, and felt flat. But i gave it a second chance, maybe it wasnt the ALA!...I waited for a new shippment of ALA from some one cold. So after cancelling my order, i got some 500mg caps and started 2 weeks later. In between those two weeks i regained my vascularity and felt full and hard for the two weeks. I then started my new ALA cycle this time uping the dosage to app 4000 mgs a week....Well its sucks, lost vascularity, flat and YES my skin does look better, thats about it.
This is very interesting. There could be many reasons for this. First of all, how bad does your piss smell after taking ALA? It's possible that you may have ALA which is mostly filler.
You also mentioned nothing about the lethargy that sets in 30-45 minutes after ingesting ALA. The lethargy occurs due to glucose being ram-jetted into both muscle and fat cells. If you didn't feel any lethargy, the powder you took is definetely suspect or you were not taking enough ALA.
If I may suggest one final experiment with ALA. Buy a good name brand like Vitamin Shoppe 300mg/capsule 60 capsule bottle. It'll run you about $22. I know of at least 2 other people who have complained that some of the 500 mg ALA caps, did not have the 'bang' of 300mg capsule, their piss didn't smell, etc.
This is a similar situation to IP's 10mg anavar, which lacks the bang of the BTG 2.5 mg anavar.
ALA *is* expensive. There are many unscrupoulous people out there willing to take advantage of the demand , and in the name of a bigger profit, will give you a filler heavy, or lousy ALA.
I'm thinking that perhaps you may not have a good racemic mixture of ALA, and have the 'bad' ALA, which has a neutral or opposite effect of the 'good' ALA. The bad one, will de-sensitize your muscle cells to insulin. This would explain your lack of a pump while on it.
Also, did you say that you were taking 4000mg/week? Please tell me you meant 4000mg/day. 4000/week comes out to 571mg/day, which is about 12 times less than the amount I would suggest taking for the best results.
My diet has remained the same for 2 months High Protein, low carb diet.....I stopped taking ALA this sunday, its now Tuesday morning and the veins are poping out everywhere..I fell as if i just finished a great arm workout.......If im doing somthing wrong by all means enlighten me
Okay, in order to get ALA to work its magic, and give you incredible pumps, you must eat NOT low carb, but moderate to high carb. The carbs are absolutely necessary. You will not get a good pump if you're in ketosis and are eating too few carbs.
I'm not sure that eating low carb on ALA is necessary, since you can stay in ketosis, while having 1/2 to 3/4 lb of carbs/day.
Anyway, try having a carb drink after your workout together with 1200-1500mg REAL ALA. Make sure that you're having either a glucose or malto-dextrin based drink, about 100gms.
