Grock31

im 6 feet 274lbs.
Trying this ADF diet, i simply drink about a gallon of water a way, fast one day with only water, and eat about 2k calories on eating days.

Is this all thats needs to show results, any input?

Thanks guys

Hi grock31

This is the diet where you're meant to eat normally on one day, then eat only a quarter of a "normal day" on a fast day?
There's a lot of people who speak highly of this sort of diet and there's quite a lot of round-about evidence to suggest it works if you stick with it properly.
I can see it being a pretty good option for people who eat nutritiously on feasting days, and persist without cheating on fasting ones. However, like with anything else diet wise, you need to persist and respect the fact that it takes time to see good results.

Expect to see more weight loss earlier on in the programme and a gradual taper in weight-loss to the end. Adding some regular physical activity in the form of cardiovascular exercise every other day will double the rewards for sure. I'd do exercise on the feasting days personally, as you may feel lethargic and low in energy on fasting days.

Keep us updated on your progress will you?

Thanks for the input on the cardio. I have started adding that.
I started at about 310lbs, I say about because about 1.5 months ago, I stepped on my scale and it just said E, haha. It wasnt a good feeling. So i went on a strict diet, changing it around. and just started pure ADF about a week ago. I use to lift alot when younger, but have balloned up over the years, since college, im 31 now. My goal is simple to lose weight, with the best ratio of fat to muscle. no matter what diet i use i know muscle will be part of it, but to try and minimize that part of it, is ideal.

Goal is tobe somewhere around 210-220 within 6-9 months.

Just wanted to see if there were anybody who has used it and their results, and what i may be missing.

Thank you for any input you can give!
