About a veggie diet

Hi, just wondering if there is any chance of have a rigorous training and having a veggie diet. I remember in high school I started eating only vegetable, fruits and sea food and it was great, now I eat whatever is in front of me, kinda want to get back in that diet, but I'm training all days and having a massive and rigorous training makes me concern about actually eliminate all beef and animal protein of my diet.

Any advise or is there anyone that has this kind of feeding?

I have been a vegan, vegetarian, and a pescetarian.. yes its harder, but it can be done.

I have found eating humane friendly eggs, grassfed pastured beef, and hormone free chicken is a good way to humanely eat meat without feeling guilty

First, stack away from soy protein powders - Soy protein is not the best choice for males because it is an estrogenic.

The best vegan protein supplements are based around gemma pea, brown rice and hemp protein. Combining gemma pea and brown rice protein creates a protein supplement that is very high in BCAA and with a great amino acid profile. Hemp is another complete protein source that contains all the essential amino acids.

The main problem with vegan protein powders is that most products on the market taste like dirt. The Vega Sports performance protein is one of the best products I have seen on the market. The taste isn't amazing but it's not bad either. https://myvega.com/products/vega-spo...mance-protein/

In addition, combining a grain and a legume or a nut/seed and a legume creates a complete protein. That's why you so commonly hear the combination of 'rice and beans' or 'peanut butter and toast'.

As Steve mentioned above though, trying to build muscle with only vegan based protein sources isn't ideal. You will get much faster results by including some animal based protein sources in your diet. If you don't want to eat meat, at the very least eat eggs/egg whites and dairy.
