A question for all of you consuming 2X Bodyweight in protein

How do you fit that much in your stomach without vomitting it all out? Drink alot of water also?Split up meals a certain way? I have a real hard time with consuming that much food. Seems almost impossible most of the time. Any sample diets for a 190lb individual? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
 
piece of cake bro. I take 400g a day (weigh 170 lbs, 7%bf)

Just 7 protein chugs spaced throughout the day (1.5-2 hours apart) Each one has 55g of protein and takes less than 1 minute to make and consume.

1) Fill a *coffee mug* with the powder and whatever else you care to include.
2) Add *cold* water - just 2/3 of the cup or so.
3) Stir with a spoon.
4) Chug. Four swallows at most.

If you have much remainder in the cup, just add a little more water and stir a little and chug it down.

I use pro complex and 100% whey for post (with some dextrose). Buy at muscledepot.com for the best prices.

Benefits?
1) Time efficient to make.
2) Time efficient to eat.
3) Easily the most cost efficient protein source (see my protein per dollar spreadsheet on diet page). Tuna comes closest but beef and chicken are WAY more expensive (x3-4 or more).
3) Quality protein. It's all just what you want without anything you don't.
4) Easy to quantify. Not all chicken breasts weigh the same.

Now some puritan will say this isn't a good way to eat or that you should eat 'real food' (whatever that is - steriod pumped chickens that can't even walk and have never seen the light of day?) But this, along with 500g of raw, steel cut oats (carbs and fiber) and flax seed oil (fat), plus a few vitamins and other supps (fish oil caps, etc.), are all you need bro.

Oh, and, uh, you would think a moderator would know this is best suited for the *diet* board. *cough cough*

well i halfway agree with synpax.

I tend to get about roughly 50% of the protein in shakes and other 50 from whole food.

6 meals a day times atleast 60 grams per meal and you will break 380grams with flying colors. When in doubt when you're making a meal, just throw in a pound of meat--- chicken, turkey, beef, etc-- and thats an easy 100grams.

The only problems you may have will be digestion related, particularly bad gas.
 
I posted my diet a little while ago around here, I average 450 or more grams of protein per day, but it take at least 8 servings
 
I like Synpax and his protein idea. Whole food isn't necessary. That's what technology is for. We have these supplements to help us get the nutrients we require when we can't get them by other means. I don't see anything wrong as long as the macronutrient ratios are in place, and you're getting proper vitamins and minerals. Besides that, getting a full amino acid chain.

ThanX brother! The information is very helpful. Was hoping to get in more solid food though. Those shakes run right through me. haha. Just wanted to get a little feedback from you guys first. Just moved it. ThanX again brother!!

Wanted to let you know I did some math wrong and the Pro Complex isn't quiet as cheap as I thought. But it's still pretty cheap and efficient.

Tuna is the most cost effective source of protein if you can get the cans for $0.50. Although it is more effective at $1 per 6 serving of 13g container, Canned Jack Macral is to nasty to consume and it is rare to find at that price. Normally I'll eat anything for fitness, but that macral causes a gag reflex just looking at it. Still, 9 cans of tuna is a lot of mercury.

Yeah, and it's more mass to down lots of tuna. Better using slightly more expensive protein shakes. Quicker, tastes great... I like it.

Only thing is, whey protein digests quick. This probably won't hinder gains though, would it?
