A new begining

Well people this is more like an apreciation note. I am 24 6'3 and weigh 270lbs. This past month i started working out and dieting and that's with the help of many of ya i just picked up a the book "Body for Life" from amazon.com and can't wait to read it.

This is the 1st time in my life is actually went to the gym a full month i hired a personal trainer for that month it did cost me some bills but what the heck it was worth it. I learned that when u have the proprer form u lift less but the risk of injuries is very limited and results are faster. Wow can't describe the PUMP you get after a good workout. Plus i am getting plastic surgery at the end of october for the famous male breast so i know that's gonna boost up my self esteem.

The diet part is the most difficult, i stop drinking (been a year) and junk food and i off my list for good. After reading almost all them posts in the "diet board" i can see that there's a lot of different opinions but i guess i mo find out from myself what works for me. But any suggestion is always welcome :)

My goal is too lose some weight and increase muscles mass i am planning on losing about 40lbs (i have to be ready for march break next year :D)

So just wanna thank all of ya for your help. I'll let you know of my progress

NME,
Welcome to the boards... and good for you giving up the junk food, drinking, and getting started on an exercise program! :)

BFL is a great start for many...also see sticky posts at top of the diet page for more options on choosing a plan that will work for you. Mr. X has listed many plans & lots of info.

Good luck on your new lifestyle change! :D
