Why doesn't everyone just back off of Heather!?

She is right, the moaning that goes on here about women (girls) does grow tiresome at times but after a while it's like yes, OK that's just how some guys process what they feel and the rest well, like there are women that don't respect men there are men that don't respect women.

We all should start to get that - women and men - both guilty of being assholes to the opposite sex (and sometimes even worse to their own sex) it's just the way life is and it's my personal opinion that being aware is probably the best way not to be guilty of such behavior (or try not to at any rate).

You think you know all about being treated poorly or abused because "it's been done to you" - that's not true at all...

when all is said and done, we must go back to the begining...IF we would look at what our "motives" are, and be truthful with them, 90% of the BS would never occur in the first place. Heather had a very real and simple point- which is where relationships should evolve from, that is wanting to be in something that is enduring and special...In order to have THIS- the "motive" must be shared by both...otherwise you have two people going in opposite directions trying to hold hands.
Having respect for each other is what is "golden". if this is met at the begining, the journey can be enjoyed, no matter what the distance.
