K Newbie here, I have tried doing some research on gaining weight and dont want to do steriods, because I am active in sports. I read awhile back Body for Life, but this is more for loosing weight. I also found www.skinnyguy.net which is the guy from Body for Life, but he changed his program. Has anyone done this and is it Feasable to gain 30 pounds in 4 months? I have been stuck at 180 for ever, I have the highest metabolism ever, it sucks, I eat alot and im hungry 30 minutes later:o

Does anybody have any links to site or anything that will give me the same results?
Any help would really be appreciated, I want to start off on the right foot and actually pack on pounds.

Calling out all you "Used to be Skinny" guys, a fellow man needs help!!!:newbie: :bawling:

I hear your desparation, but everything takes time. I too have a very fast metabolism, but i've learnt to accept it, but that hasn't stopped me from building what i consider a great physique. I'm never going to win any contests (you need drugs for that), but i look better than 95% of the population so that's something.

Jack up your carbs. Do anything in order to increase calories consumed. The easiest way to do that is to jack up your carbs. Just eat anything you can. Don't worry about counting calories, just eat everything and anything in order to increase your body mass. There are weight gain powders out there. Look for a powder with at least 55-60 grams of carbs per 100 gram serving.

Cut down on other non-weights related activities. By doing other sports and cardio you're really damaging your ability to put on body mass, particularly if your metabolism is that fast.

Concentrate on training heavy and use all the basic stuff. No secrets there. Squats and deadlifts in particular. Chins, barbell rows, dips, militaries etc. Concentrate on a rep range of 5-8, occasionally go down to four to give your strength a spike. Work your whole body over four days and rest up when not in the gym.

Nothing happens over night, so just be patient and eat, eat, eat. There are hundreds on these boards who wish they had your metabolism. The grass is always greener on the other side.

I know i haven't offere anything in the way of secrets, but it's common sense and discipline in training and eating that will pack on mass.

Good luck

skinny guy here, checking in. I am 5'10.5 at 178. I aint as skinny as you are, since you have more height than me, but I have past the point, so to speak, where I can eat a horse and still be hungry. I am at the point where, if I dont work out my abs, it WILL show. post your diet, and your routine. gaining mass/muscle requires lots of eating, lifting heavy weights, and rest. if you dont have a routine, or a set diet, just ask. we are all here to help others out.

Cornholio = knows what he is talking about.

Gaining 30 lbs in 4 months is probably a lot to hope for clean. With Test, and deca, or test and anadrol, it could be done, but even then that is pretty damn dramatic.

You need to eat more. I know, I know, you already eat more than anyone you know. You eat more than your 350 lb friend. Well guess what, you still are not eating enough. Whatever you are eating, no matter how much you think it is, is not enough to gain weight. If you are 180 and have been there for some time, then you are only eating enough every day to maintain 180!!!

EAT MORE TO GET BIGGER!!!! This is regardless of your use or non-use of anabolics. To get bigger you have to eat more. To get smaller you have to eat less. These are a couple of the very few hard and fast rules in the iron game.

Would it be better to eat more towards the night? Since your body doesnt digest the food as fast as it does during the day? I am up till 12 everyday anyways, so it wouldnt matter to me.

Have a big weightgainer shake at 02:00 and 05:00 hour in the night and Eat a banana with every meal. work your way up to eating 1 kilo of bananas every day.

For three weeks have a big sandwich with peanutbutter with every meal. Next three weeks replace the peanut butter by taking 3 tablespoons of flaxseed oil every day (divided over all meals). next 3 weeks the peanutbutter etc... The flax seed oil contains omega 3 and 6 wich are more like aminoacids and enzyms than fat rteally and will help to fight bad fats and to increase hormone production in the body also they provide good amount of calories

Protein looks light and get ride of those shakes, use them as snacks between meals not as meals. Most protein shakes are digested in a quick time. Throw some tuna in your diet and eat a casein/whey shake right before bed. If your not gaining a pound in two weeks up the protein and cals a little more. I would be very surprised if it doesn't work but you can't get lazy with any of it at any time. Also, where is your good fats coming from, try flax and olive oil with your meals.

Good luck
