24k's *getting ready for 2006* log

Miss24k

New member

So I got a little lazy with my last log, I guess because I eat the same things day after day, it gets annoying to update the log everyday, so this time I will update it less frequently (probably weekly).

I will also be more detailed with this log (measurements, weight, bodyfat, and pics).

So as the title says getting ready for 2006, I have planned to do 5 maybe 6 shows this season (this may change if I feel my body needs a break), shows will be much closer together which will be easier to stay focused.

So with that being said, my first show of the season will be the end of March, beginning of April (the exact date hasn't been posted yet)

Current stats are:
height: 5ft
weight: 120lbs
bodyfat: will be checked on Thursday
Measurements: will be checked tonight
Pics: in a few days

Thanks everyone :)

My goal this season is to come in leaner, and hopefully bigger ;p

Here's what my current diet looks like:

Meal 1
3oz chicken or turkey
1 oz of cashews or pecans or almonds
green veggies

Meal 2
25g of protein (1/2 casinate, 1/2 isolate)
6 fish oil

Meal 3
3 oz of chicken or tuna or shrimp
1 oz of nuts
green salad

Meal 4 (Post workout)
37g of isolate protein
glutamine
taurine

*on non-workout days same as meal 2

Meal 5
3 oz turkey
1 oz of walnuts

Every 5 days, I have 1 cheat meal.

Looking forward to this! Another girl who will be leaning down. I will need the motivation next year when that comes times since it will be my first time going through it I don't know what to expect but I know it's not going to be super easy.
Good luck!

Thank you Sassy :rose:

It took me while to post those pics up last night, I kinda had to fight with myself, I guess I'm alittle self-conscious on how I look in a bikini right now.

Yah, it's really not a big deal when you look at someone elses pics. But when you go to post your own, it's hard! It took me almost 3 months to post a pic. I'm glad I did though.

Lookin' Good! Can't wait to see you progress!!! I love the lean out process! :rose:

Looking good......like a bber female is supposed to look between shows.....healthy and full muscles...

PLEASE girl... you look awesome! I wondered what those legs looked like to be squatting 205, and now I can see why.

Can't wait to follow your progress - I'm determined to go through it soon. ;)

You know my first thought was "holy quads!!!!!"

Imagine the striations on those babies when the lady has cut right down.

So awesome ;)

lol @ you ladies, you're too funny, thanks girls :)

So went to see trainer today and my bodyfat is at 23% woohoo down 2% and no muscle lost (this is my biggest worry), and only just started cardio very light this week, I've only done it once this week. Gawd I dread cardio lol.

Weight is 118lbs.

Measurements were also measured today. For comparison I am putting up my measurements from Jan 2005, next to todays that was the reason for me bumping my old old log. lol

Today's............ Jan. 05
Biceps 13in ............... 10.5in
Chest 37in ............... 36in
Waist 26.1in ............... 25in
Hips 38in ............... 37in
Quads 23.6in. ............... 22in.
Calves 15.2in ............... 13.5in

Ya, me 2! And don't think you are fat, I'm in the bulking process and OMG what the hell is happening to my ass :eek2:

You look great!

to be completely honest, I think you have too much isolation in your routine and not enough focus on compound movements.

You should pay the training board a visit and post up your weekly routine for some feedback from others.

Girl you gave me some motivation to think about posting my pre pictures before dieting down... I refuse to look in a mirror right now. So my focus stays with the adding muscle on. I look pretty soft. You have much more muscle on your legs then I do. Still working on that. Good job!

Thanks, I have a trainer that does my routine and it changes up every few weeks. The routine I'm doing now is different from the 1 posted I just didn't post it up.

It's me slacking again with updating this thing. :verygood:

Yes it's tough to post up "before" pics, but I put up those damn pics, and ladies I'm very thankful how kind you are all about them, but I still don't like them lol, Tren you better post yours up :velvett:

You look good girl! Actually just like Buns, you are demonstrating the way to make adjustments over the course of time w/ different goals. I think people spend so much time focusing on reaching a goal (e.g. "I gotta lose 20 lbs") that they get so obsessed w/ that goal and maybe never reach it because they dont' embrace the lifestyle as the goal and instead just spend the rest of their life starving, binging & staring at the scale.

I think you're just friggen kewl!

Makes me wish I had this sort of environment to "get into it" when I was your age. I hired my first trainer at a World Gym in Scottsdale, AZ at age 23. He was the strength coach for the Seattle Mariners spring training camp. He kicked my ass and introduced me to the concept of "its a good leg day when you throw up". I was the only girl who lifted heavy with the exception of this 40 yr old black lady who apparently finished 10th at the Ms Olympia in 1989 or 1990. She was crazy huge and I only happened to see her once at the gym but she worked at a local grocery store. Otherwise it was aerobics class & cardio bunny heaven there. Then I moved to FL and again, the only girl I saw with any shape was this steroided up scary bulldyke and I still had no idea that women competed.

I'm glad there are competition categories other than BB for girls these days. It makes it more "doable" and women are more willing to pursue it without fear of looking like The Hulk.

Loving watching your progress!

Thank you Sassy :)

Although I complain and make comments about being fat, I refuse to be that woman who is always trying to achieve the same goal for the rest of my life.

I like to set and achieve new goals, and evolve in this fitness game, learn new things, whether they work, or whether they don't, they're all tools in my fitness tool box. Right!?! ;) See I'm always listening when you talk.

You know I've been on EF for awhile, and have been here for myself, wanting to expand my knowledge, what I'm trying to say is that I didn't realize how many people I've helped inspire or motivate with their goals, all the while only trying to achieve mine.

I just want to say that I'm happy that I can help the ladies and a few men, without even knowing it!

And Sassy you Rock!

Miss 24K.... Its about that time again!!!...LOL.. Keep it up girl dont worry I started dieting 2 days ago and have been hitting the gym twice a day the past 2 days straight... What hurts the most is to see how weak I am :worried: ... I get so pissed off at myself but I know it will come back quicker this time and that my strength will increase full speed.. luckily I gained lots of endurance in cardio.. Which I still hate doing..lol..

Well Lots of luck if you ever compete in New Jersey USA let me know...I will be there to give all my support!!!!

Keep it posting

Ischia ;)

Okay. You got me motivated. I posted pictures in the "pictures of our members" forum. I will be at the fitcamp helping out Dave and Maggie. You will see me at my worst right now... 250lbs.
Its funny. Its just like you said. You post the before pictures and it gets you motivated real fast. I am getting my diet going 100% starting January 2nd because of it.

Planning on starting some sort of "diet" myself on Monday!! Although mine will be geared towards endurance/high performance, I'm hoping to drop some bf.

Miss-Missy - I'm gonna need you!! :velvett:

Well ok time for a small update. Diet this week hasn't been the best, it hasn't been terrible but it's been hard for me to be focused, I think I'm playing this little mind game with myself, by saying ok well if I want "this" I better eat it now, cause come Jan. 2nd, there's no more time for a cheat.

As I look back on this year, I've set a goal, accomplished it and set a new goal, and not quite accomplished the second goal. What I mean by this is I gave myself a number (in which I should never have done, but hey you live and learn). Did I reach the number, no I don't think so, not after all is said and done. Am I disappointed yes sort of, not because I did not have reached the goal, but because I got carried away with it, and was alittle too hard on myself. I was actually in tears a few weeks ago when I realized by the time I take off this layer of fat, I will not have put on 10lbs. And that's when it hit me, I must be retarded to cry over this. I've just worked really hard for the past year, I mean when I'm in the gym I don't play around with girly weight, I'm a grey plates kinda girl (Sassy ;) ).

Anyway what I'm trying to say is let this be a lesson to you ladies and the few men that check in on me :) , do not let a number define you, forget what the scale tells you, forget what those stupid little calipers tell you, pay attention to the way you look and the way you feel.

Although I mislead myself with the 10lb goal, I am extremely happy with the way my body looks, I am more proportioned that I've ever been in my life, and I'm excited to started shedding my layer of fat, to see how I looked when I'm leaner. So season 2 here I come, whether you're ready for me or not!!! ;)

Wishing everyone a safe and Happy New Year, and thank you all for your constant support! :rose:

This is the reason I love these logs. We learn so much about others, and especially ourselves in the process!

You're such an inspiration to so many of us Miss24, and I for one would love to accomplish half of what you've done. Happy New Year and I'm truly looking forward to your log. I think I've decided on an October competition and will be looking to you, Sassy and others for guidance.

You know, I'm getting ready to start bulking and hearing you say this will stick in my mind for the duration of that time period. Mentally, going back and forth is really difficult. You know you're doing what you intended to, but sometimes "the wrong side of your brain" starts to take over. You're beautiful....you've worked hard.....you've made awesome gains....I'm so happy for you....don't cry anymore!!!

Thank you Buffalo and Scorpio ;)

Well as I had said, for the holidays I've been eating whatever I wanted, as surprisingly I didn't gain any weight lol.

DARD?

Back on the wall with no weight (in a seated position), I would have died if I had to do those damn things with weight, they were supersetted with 310lbs calf raises, 30 reps and a tempo of 3 sec down, 1 sec up.

After yesterday's workout I couldn't walk, and this morning the fact I was able to get to work is a miracle yay me! lol

Miss24K, I'm always inspired by and admire your confidence and ability to roll with things quickly. Congrats on reaching your goals, and congratulations on the learning process along the way...because truly, that is what is most important!

Looking forward to your more regular journal entries. *ahem* LOL! ;)

Looks great hun!

And yep, as soon as i get that blog set up Im gonna send you a link. Its gonna be hopefully very detailed.., if ican keep on top of it with my busy schedule.

I've not been logging anything lately, just pushing myself to my max/failure. Diet sucks though. Haven't started the comp diet yet, but I'm gettign all that to gether now. I have to have a schedule and goals to stick on target, with out it i feel like im looking for a needle in a haystack.

So far, my strength is coming back so good... looks like i will accomplish my goals and then some ;) That makes me so happy.. Now i just need to work on building these shoulders up. I kill them every week but growth is a huge issue. I wish my shoulders had the growth potential like my quads do.. then i'd be in business. LOL

Princess, I'm glad I can help inspire you and I'm more than happy to share my trial and errors with you, I mean hey if it helps someone else in any little way then I'm happy, we're all here to help each other :) And thank you hun.

Frisky, I know you changed your name but I can't help but call you Frisky lol. Isn't it great seeing your strength come back and get even better, I was feeling like superwoman for awhile there lol. When's your first show going to be, do you know yet? Oh and I understand what you're saying about your quads, I wish my hamstrings would grow alittle more, good thing I have a nice ass so it can take alittle attention off the hammys when I turn around :lmao: I don't think they're terrible it's just that my quads are way more dominant.

Thanks Twinny :bigkiss:

lol Sorry Scorpio I was speaking to Shadow, I know exactly where your log is :qt:

Well Shadow when it's up and running I want the link :velvett: lol

Yesterday's workout, I was so tired yesterday it was a task just to go to the gym, wasn't my best workout, but at least I got it in, checked weight and wasn't happy so that's probably another reason workout wasn't so good.

Hey Miss 24!
What is a Cycist squat and do you have a show date?

A Cycist squat is when you have your heels elevated on either DBs or a 45lb plate by doing this you're targeting your quads more.

My first show is April 8th :)

O.k. I have seen that I just didn't know the name of it and the yahoo search engine never heard of it
Are you going to be posting pictures up before your show while you diet down?

So today let's just say it was a scratch. I woke up this morning and felt like I was dying, called into work sick, went back to bed and woke up at 12pm only because my boyfriend's mom woke me up and made me have some chicken broth, went back to bed and have basicly been in bed all day and night napping on and off, at about 7pm I got up and had a banana.

I don't know what the hell but this is like the 4th time in the last few months that I've been sick, this was by far the worst, and have been feeling like I'm drained all the time.

Anyway I'm going back to bed now.

Those were 24k's fat pics??? OMG I think not. Do you actually have fat tucked somewhere around all that muscle? I couldn't see anything except muscle. I even tried tilting my head and squinting....still didn't see any fat.

You are an inspiration and proof that goals can be accomplished. Thank you.

thanks ladies :)

Yesterday I didn't make it to the gym either, today I'm feeling alittle better so I'll get there after work.

I think my diet needs adjusting.

No more like an adjustment on the kinds of foods, my trainer has me on a diet that consists of mainly protein, fats, and green veggies, but I just don't think this type of diet is for me, I've been feeling run down and have had no energy, haven't dropped any weight and have been getting sick often and when I get sick I have to stay in bed for a day.

Anyway I spoke with him, and told him this isn't working for me, and I think I need carbs and less fats, he agreed, so he changed things up, so we'll see how this goes.

Thanks for your concern Scorpio :)

I hope you are feeling better today Miss24!! Hopefully the new diet will help keep you well and give you more energy. The feeling of run down and no energy isn't fun at all! ;)

Is this similar to your diet last season, or something completely different?

Hope you fell better soon and find something that works for you.

:wavey:

Sorry to hear that you've not been well and like the other girls said, I hope the diet tweaking will help you. You've still got plenty of time for your comp. Sending lots of good vibes your way, Miss

Thanks everyone, I have ore energy now, and am feeling better, still alittle sick though.

Buffalo, no it was a different diet from last year, he wanted to see how I responded to it I guess, cause it works well for some people, but I am not 1 of them lol.

I'm upping my morning cardio sessions.

Training as been good, same workouts as previously posted.

So this morning was 30 minutes of cardio.
