logic says the Giants as they are the better team RIGHT NOW. but that is pretty messed up that a 9-7 team wins the super bowl.. has that ever happened? then again the packers were 10-6 last year and won it. parity is what makes the nfl awesome. giants always play at their level of competition!

No 9-7 team has ever won the Superbowl. Several 10-6 teams have:
The 1988 San Francisco 49ers, the 2007 New York Giants and the 2010 Green Bay Packers all had a 10 - 6 regular season record
So we either make a rule that if your 9-7 you cant be in the playoffs or keep the current system. They did play the toughest schedule in the NFL this year.

Madden was wrong last year.
It was also wrong the in '07 when it said the Pats would win. Also, the Pats beat NYG in '07 then lost in the SB. This year NYG beat the Pats, who knows in the SB.
I don't buy into any of that crap, but the parallels are fun to think about.
the one thing i can say is Eli is a big time player in big time games.
and the pats pass defense is pathetic, so if it comes down to a tie game and Giants have the ball with 2 minutes left you know what will happen.
the Giants D has a sensational pass rush where they can drop back 7 and rush only 4 and still get pressure.. that will probably be the difference in who can stop who
