Coming off a disappointing 3-1 loss last time out, Edmonton hits the road with a chance to get on the winning track Monday at Colorado.

Sporting a 9-5-2 overall record and a 6-3-0 mark within the division, the Avalanche aim to knock the Oilers (2-4-0 in the division) for a loss.

The roadies are big underdogs here, laying 200 on the money line. The Avalanche sport a 9-5-2 record, while the Oilers are 9-9-1. The total opened at 7.

Last time out, the Oilers lost to the Blackhawks 3-1 as 120 favorites. That contest went under the closing total.

Colorado, on the other hand, are home to shake off a loss last time out against Calgary. They were 125 underdogs and ended up on the wrong end of a 5-3 score, in a game that went over the closing total.

Expect the league's #3 offence to pot some goals and generate trouble for the Oilers defence. Averaging 4.3 goals per game, the Avalanche can run up the score if they get on a roll.

Some trends to consider:
Edmonton is 1-4-0 SU in its last 5 games after scoring 1 to 2 goals
Edmonton is 1-4-0 OU in its last 5 away
Edmonton is 1-4-0 OU in its last 5 games

Colorado is 9-1-1 OU in its last 11 games
Colorado is 4-1-0 OU in its last 5 games at home against Edmonton
Colorado is 4-0-1 OU in its last 5 games against Edmonton
Colorado is 8-2-0 SU in its last 10 games after scoring 3 to 4 goals
