Fresh off a victory last game over the Thrashers, Pittsburgh can stay on a roll Saturday by skating circles around the Carolina Hurricanes.
Carolina takes its 7-2-1 mark to Pittsburgh to rumble with the 1-4-5 Penguins.
In a game that potentially could see plenty of scoring, the total opened high, at 7. The line opened at 130 in favor of the Penguins.
Carolina won at home against the Flyers last game as 115 favorites, tallying a score of 8-6. The total sailed over.
Ed Olczyk's troops were at home against the Thrashers last game and came away with a 7-5 win, a game that went over 7.5. Oddsmakers had them as 155 money line favorites in that one.
On the surface, this shapes up as a possible whooping. Pittsburgh can't stop anyone (30th in the league allowing 4.8 goals per game) and Carolina can score with the best of them, rated 3rd in scoring. Neither scenario appears to bode well for the Penguins
