Oh...I got carried away on my first point, you should be running faster on the 'mill' cause your weight is supported, and running slower outside, cause you are carrying full load. IMO, you are more in sync outside, and thus times are faster, cause... well, running on a mill is for douche's.
I can't run on a mill, feel like a hamster. However, I bet cause you are outside, more in touch with nature, more motivation, more endorphins, etc...
