Hey guys and gals

I have a question. For frying meats like chicken and beef what is the best cooking oil to use? as far as health/fats go

The reason i ask is that i find that when i grill meats they tend to be to dry and for me very hard to swallow. Gets to the point that sometimes i gag.

any tips on ingredients i could use would be great

Sounds to me like you're overcooking your meat when you grill it. Grilled meat should not be dry at all. Pick yourself up a copy of "How to Grill" by Steven Raichlen. Best grilling book IMO. That said I tend to use peanut or canola for frying if you mean deep frying. For pan frying I use Olive Oil. Again though, no reason you can't have juicy food off of your grill!

cook with evoo it works great.

i make fried chicken breast probably 5 times per wk. i bread the chicken with 50% oat flower and 50% whole wheat flower mixed with a little ms dash and fry in evoo

i know extra virgin olive oil is a good one but was sort of looking for an alternative as i have gone off it a little (tastewise)

that oat flower and wheat flower does sound good

whats better for frying grape seed or evoo? ceo told me grape seed would be better because it doesnt burn as easily...

pan frying chicken breast at medium heat does not burn evoo. i also think evoo is a better oil health and taste wize, especially with chicken.

i say yes. you dont need the oil extremely hot to cook with. its actually far better for you to cook for a longer time on a lower heat just until the food is done. if you cook on a high heat the center of the food is good but the outside is over cooked and harder to digest.

good advice. ive heard the more expensive the olive oil, the less you want to use it for cooking purposes.

Per Dave Palumbo macadamia nut oil is the best; and you can cook with it.
