last church I went to was in the basement of a strip mall. Why do baptists have to be against nice surroundings?

Love church. Just got to find the one that suites you. Some churches are messed up... Some churches are amazing.

Ive bounced back in fourth through studying different religions, and for me PERSONALLY, Jesus is who I follow.

I do enjoy the fellowship among the members within the church I attend. They have done a great job showing love to me when I was going through tough times. When I had melanoma, they were there for me. Great to be in a body of people who see the bigger picture.

What variety? Baptists? Pentacostals? Born Agains? Rosary rattlers generally aren't so into the hellfire and damnation sermons.

You want some real fun attend a sabbat, next two will be Lammas (or First Harvest) around August 1 and Mabon (or Autumn equinox) around September 21.

BTW, pagans don't proselytize, we just fire up some incense, call in the dieties and elements, chant and feast.

Unlike you I'm not a materialistic shallow person. I have a phone, a car, a house, a laptop, a tablet, etc. None of that defines me.

It is my husband, mom, dogs, and family who I come home to what make me happy and they are who I cherish.

Go buy yourself some Ermenegildo Zegna shit to fill your void and compensate your shortcomings.

OTOH, Muslims, Jews and Christians have historically and continue to sacrifice tons of humans, including their own worshippers, all the time. They just call it Holy War, Crusades, Jihad or the battle over the Gaza, same fucking thing.

And then there's the sacrifices that take place "in the name of Christ". All those people who think that it's okay to abuse, ostracize, torture and murder people from the LGBT community ... heck, just people different in general.

The first law of Christians is "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me."

The first law of paganism is "If it harms none, do what you will."

Care to make any more snide remarks about alternative spiritual paths, you putz?

Maybe in Canada it is, but here it's for Alcoholics and it's usually court appointed.

You're thinking AA which is Alcoholics Anonymous, QT is referring to Al-Anon which is for friends and families of alcoholics. Either way AA is not always court appointed, many alcoholics go to meetings in order to obtain support, maintain sobriety and cope with the risks of relapse.

My dad's been dead 20 years I just started to deal with his alcoholism mostly because my brother finally admitted he was an alcoholic.

It's great group for sure.

I've been thinking about going as my brother is slowly drinking himself to death. It's really hard to let go with love.
