I would use a gun for my buddy Dial Tone. He is a good person. No one should have their health or life threatened because some other people have bad intentions for them. It takes someone really stupid to hate a person for what color their skin is or how they are dressed. There are a lot of people of all color that do this still.
I would have no choice because for sure the KKK wouldn't be coming over to talk fantasy football. I suspect would George would think the same.

So it's 10:00 in Knoxville, TN right now. If I wanted to drive to East Knoxville into the poorest part of town, I'd almost certainly put myself in a bad situation. If that happened, could I similarly "use a gun" as you described above?

Believing If you go report a crime you will be taken seriously and appropriate action will be taken in a timely manner. This trial proves that if we are walking home, minding our own business and some stranger forces us to defend ourselves we become the one on trial. We are dead and our perpetrator not only goes home he's the great white hope. Somebody on my friends Facebook said finally the justice system works. I didn't realize white people had issues with the justice system. I'm glad he reminded me.

Yes I am and thanks!........ Unless you mean that you can start a fight with someone and shoot them if you're losing....But, if you are being physically attacked by someone and you fear serious bodily harm, you can kill them.
I wouldn't advise punching people in the face, unless you want to find out. If they think you may do it again, they can legally kill you. You can be killed from a punch to the head.
Especially if someone as powerful as me hits you or picks you up and drops you on your head.
I wouldn't advise you using lethal force until you're more familiar of what you can and can't do.

He was safe in his car when he fired the gun. There's no reasonable way to feel your life is threatened by unarmed kids who are in their car playing loud music, and then presumably yelled at you and called you named. This guy even fled the scene like a coward.
Zimmerman was at least getting beat the hell up, and had already called police beforehand. Nobody planning to kill someone is going to call the police right before they do it and then fake like they were acting in self defense. Which brings up a side note, what kind of grown man gets his ass kicked by a teenager? He should be jailed for being a giant pussy.

Had the kid and the guy got out of their cars, then the kid starts a physical altercation and ends up slamming the guys head into the pavement a bunch of times, and then the guy shoots him because he thinks his brain is gonna get squished out his ears, then he'd be right to defend himself.

Not to get involved in this race war but two African American teens shot a 13 month old baby in the face and that didn't get much attention. The real issue here isn't white killed black or black killed white its the fact we are killing people in the first place there is more black on black crime than any other crime and everyone knows it to say show me where black killed white is ignorant who gives a damn about what race killed what.
so change nothing about the case but the race of the shooter, making him black, you think he would've been convicted?

I agree that the evidence does not even come close to supporting a murder II charge in the Zimmerman case.
But Zimmerman did harass a 16-year-old that was in his own neighborhood walking home from 7-11 and it led to an altercation that left the boy dead.
You can make the argument for manslaughter and if it had been black on white crime, race likely would have changed the verdict.
