I had a white Wrangler for a while, but it had a tan soft top, which got really old. Driving around Cali with the bikini top in the summer was nice though.

thanks, it is pretty nice where I live. Wooded but extremely convenient, good town services, close shopping.

Only thing im really burnin to do to the new jeep is either do a 4.0 head conversion with MPI but more likely for now a different carb on it tuned for mpg.

The jeep runs and drives really nice for its year. has new floors and the typical frame patch in the rear, new tires and doesnt burn or leak anything. Clutch feels good in it too. I've really enjoyed playin around with it since it showed up on friday.

Got it for an excellent price for the shape its in.

I just got pulled over in the bmw tho. I didn't get a ticket but still sort of ruined my automotive joy day...oh and ripped the front bumper off of it on saturday.And got the audis heater core a little better flushed out but its in such terrible shape it def needs to be replaced. I think Im gonna sell the thing and possibly sell the bmw as well because Im sick of getting randomly pulled over.

All unrelated to the new jeep but part of my car weekend.

no, its the 4.2 actually...I can throw a 4.0 head on it tho and go with the multi port injection and it'll push higher horse than the 4.0 (which still isn't much) but I actually thinkin about a certain motorcraft carb set-up for it because its mad cheaper, I love fiddling with carbs and supposedly gets its mpg right around the 4.0.
From reading around its a btetter choice than the usual weber carb..its got the shitty carter on it now with a bad choke..bitch to start and one small flat spot in the carb.

I toyed with that idea a bit too...not the 40's but the 350. We had one at the shop years back that we had to make some adjustments to the shorty headers to clear the frame....Im not sure this year will work out so hot, because its a YJ which has a narrower frame than the cj if I don't have that backwards.
It has Cj axles though and the newer ax-15 transmission ..so no slave cylinder issues but I discovered the shift boot needs to e replaced because it prevents someone from dropping into the reverse all the way every time.
found a nice leather shift boot that fits the factory retaining ring for 60 bucks..little more money and I can have cool piping or weird colored thread in it.

It has a 4" skyjacker lift and 33s on offset rims plus the wider axles on it now...I like the height but gotta add a homer handle or small steps so we don't wreck the steering column or door hinges. No death wobble either which is amazing to me...lol

I was fiddling with the seat frames this morning because they're rusty and didn't work smoothly...all better now. Anyone know someone that sells neoprene seat kits for this thing?

As far as your shortys clearing the framework, I think hooker makes a specialty design for that model, but you're gonna fuckin pay a specialty price for those bitches.

Put a handle on it, most steps make it look lower than it is. unless you're seriously offroading, ground clearance isn't nearly as important as the appearance of ground clearance.

I like the front bumper too, slap some KCs on it and piss off state troopers, it's fun

Settin on 33 with 4" lift.
Death wabble is no fun, added better damper fixed the problem.

I put 144,000 miles on a new 2000 jeep i bought new... if it's cold where you are, and or you want to be warmer, the cheapest is to install a dc converter, then any space heater/small will work for you and give you instant heat..
