So if the meat industry decides pink slime or 40% lean beef meets their standard it should matter not that the gov't disagrees?

No, I got the point. You missed the counterpoint: Industry already DID establish pink slime as a standard through FDA/USDA. The regulators are always in bed with the regulated.

You realize you are maybe one of a handful of people on here who know right off the top of their head what the NSF even is right? Think about that. It's not exactly a common claim....and just to be clear the chemists and physicists are handling that relationship, i have nothing to do with the research side of the business so don't even bother asking cause i wouldn't talk about it even if I understood it. And honestly it's over your head as well as you're an EE.

These standards were developed to maintain quality while delivering the product as efficently as possible; I'll address brownbrown...My dad was one of the first MC guys that rode Harleys back in the late 1940's. Old joke, he always said a Harley rider was a Harley mechanic by definition because it was such a bad product...Good for Harley that theuy adopted something the auto industry embraced decades beforehand.

As far as "pink slime" is concerned...it's being defended by the secretary of agriculture....I've witnessed slaughter house operations first hand..."Pink slime" is the least of your concerns. :)

what secret agent crap omg lmfao. I talked back in 05-06 about coming back from CA to join a company started by family members. And i never made any bones that i wasn't part of the R&D...i was tommyboy running around doing sales work and making pitches to investors. It was the whole reason i went back to school for business. Nothing secret dude

B) They weren't betting on "me"

There's nothing super sekrit dude...unless your'e referring to the project going before the NSF in which case i'm sure you of all people fully understand why that's not to be talked about. What we were dealing in a few years ago was a polymerizing surface application. I gave presentations on that product to state govt agencies.
