I am doing ckd diet now.interested in IF diet. Had a thought of a TKd style merged with IF. Any way I was wondering if _ IF would work for me? I get up at 430 am train about 4pm sleep 9pm mayb fast till about 12 ? Also what about only light complex carbs before and or only after workout and 2 days a week eat at regular clean maintenance calories. All this to drop body fat?

There is a lot of info at www.leangains.com that will be able to answer a lot of your questions about IF. Ive been doing it for a long time and it has been very succesful for me, and it can be adapted to many workout and eating schedules.

Thank you ive never heard of it until I saw a forum and guy mentioned he used it

I am currently on IF and love it, I fast from 8 pm to 12 noon (16 hrs) and feed from 12 noon to 8 pm. I train in the morning, which is where I am heading now, at 4:30 am and sip on 10 grams BCAAs pre/intra/post workout, and every 2 hours up until feed time, and I have dropped weight/fat...using SARMs and Forged Burner as well...down from 228.5 to 220 in about 7 weeks (1 lb weekly)...been slow and steady, well got to hit fasted cardio!

U should not do ketogenic diets if you do IF!! But TKD would be the best of the ketogenic diets to run with if. But i can already say you will not be happy about your results compared to eating all day on a keto! If you go for if u should dropp the keto

Im gonna stay with ckd since its my first time and im allready on a schedule and its working ill just research and learn more about IF and if I am not happy with ckd try that next cut. Thank you all for the replies

I cycle carbs on IF, but typically do low carb to no carb on non workout days with moderate carbs on workout days. That method works very well for me at keeping glycogen levels balanced while shedding fat

Yes but in ketosis. The glukogenesis of high protein. Would raise glukose enough to blast you out of ketosis...
When u eat like that u really sant a lot of smal meals :)
But ofc cycling and low carb will work.

IF is meant to be cycled

that said I have no problem staying keto on IF..at all

No offense :) but u prolly dont eat 400+grams of protein each day.. With a lower prot inntake its np at all :)

There is no reason for anyone to take in 400g of protein, unless you have 300lbs of LBM. 1-1.2g/lb of LBM is all that's needed with a Max of 1.5g/lb.

Anything more than that is wasted and just extra kidney stress. It has been found that the most amount of protein that the human body can synthesize is 1.6g/lb, but that was with ideal conditions, food intake, and digestive aids

yep.. i grow just fine on 200g of protein..

I have never been over 1,5 myself before now. As suggested by a pro bb at this board i whent to 2.2 and honestly i never felt better!

But that was not the point. Even 200 grams of protein in 8 hours would raise glukose. And break ketosis.

you're right there...I stick at around 150g of protein a day...and to be totally honest I struggle with that
my LBM is right around 130lbs

I personally dont think we need more, but i dont dare to go below 1,5 hehe :)
The norwegian olympic research senter have been look at it for norwegian olympic sportsmen, and they actually found that if u run, u need more protein than if u do weights.. They also estimate if u can maintain ur muscle at current intake u would only need 11 more grams each day to gain 20 lbs of lbm....
But im afraid to trust this yet :) i did actually up my protein even more and feel even better! Placebo maybe :)

yeah, the only thing I really notice is if I brush around 200g a day I can eat absolutely no carbs and not care as long as I have some fats

but I also got wayyyyy fatter than a lot of peeps here and have a lotta extra fluff to spare yet (4 kids and crappy eating will do that!)
I also dont believe that your body will eat muscle over fat if youre somewhat well padded to begin with
but thats my humble ..somewhat scientific but too complicated for my brain to draw up and explain right now theory

I totaly agree.
I work as a PT and all of my clients that have high fat, does always loose fat and gain alot of muscle the first few months.
The body is smart and as long as u challange it, it will not sacrefice those hard earned muscles :)

ya...newbie gains are awesome

muscle memory and newbie gains are keeping me thrilled at the gym lately...lolol
