You look like a sinner

nurses aid = o-ring detailer

Pretty much, but I have to have the certification. Besides, the head of the school said she could get me a position at the psyc ward at a local hospital. It sounds interesting, so I'm gonna do that until I get into the nursing core.

I worked psych for about 9 months. Crazy people out there fo shiz

Really? My friend (he's also a nurse) is trying to discourage me. He says it's way to stressful, but it seems interesting to me. That's why I figure I can work as a CNA for the psych ward and see what I think.

I was on break today and hanging out with this guy that looks like a stereotypical cholo. He turns to me and says in his cholito accent "No offending, V, but you look like sinner."

I know it sounds like it would be offensive, but the way he said it had me laughing. I thought it was pretty cool how he used humor to disarm me so he could "witness".

What would it take for you to humor someone like this? Or when it comes to people trying to convert you, do you just tell 'em to stfu?

did he start rubbing your ass as he finished saying the word *sinner*

I'd rather work at Burger King than wipe ass and make beds all day.

just sayin'

Lol, you have a point. I'm getting other certifications so I will be doing as little of that as possible. Besides, it's only while I get thru school. I gotta support myself and it's a good way to gain experience.

how many o-rings you need to clean to get a certificate

All right, you sinners, swing!
Danger in the rearview mirror
There's trouble in the wind
Badness bringing up the rear
The menace's loose again
She looks so fuckin' good
So sexy and so frail
Something got the bite on me
I'm goin' straight to hell...

takes a special kind to work psych. most hate it. kind of a shit job in all of hc/nursing. gotta start somewhere though.
My teacher seems to think I have what it takes. Patience, but assertive enough to deal with behavioral issues, most of all, she said, a really good sense of humor. Idk, my friend says I should start in longterm care. He says the elderly have so many medical issues that I will learn a lot more.

Is this a hint that you want me to practice on you? Lol.

I'm sure I will have to clean my fair share. Cawk too. The look on the mens faces when the teach demonstrated how to do that skill was priceless.

cute pj's...trojan probably made him think of condoms = "sinning". You look hecka short next to that office chair...you must be fun sized.

Was my first nursing job. It was fine, I wouldn't want to do it forever. Just cuz those people are such manipulators...just pissed me off sometimes. lol
But definitely try it and see if if works for you.

Manipulators huh? Lol, I got lots of experience with those.

I have no idea what I want to specialize in so I figure I will try a few things.

Is he the "Head Nurse"?

ololololol!

I was gonna make perineal care crack (no pun intended)

Lmao, yea I was waiting for one of those.

She pulled out this huge dildo to demonstrate on. I was laughing so hard when the men were all "DAAAAANNNNNNGGGG!" Apparently something happened to the CPR manikin's snap-on penis.

omg you guys make me gay...i mean laugh

nobody really wants to work psych or LTC or home health. That's why he's telling you to start there. You'll actually have a chance of getting a job. Home Health is the fastest growing segment of HC right now. Easy to get stuck in it too.

I'm an RN, started out on a med/surg ICU stepdown floor which sucked a large one. I work at a level I trauma inner city hospital so we get all the homeless/indegent and gang bangers. I have been working in Medical/Surgical/Trauma ICU for the last 3 years now and its a bit better.

Psych nursing is the fucking worse!! Nobody even looks at psych nurses as 'real' nurses. You lose all your nursing skills working psych. You never have to titrate drips, work with intubated pts, wound care, ACLS etc... It's always hilarious the rare times I get called to a code on the psych floor and how so absolutely clueless they are. I still get my fair share of psych pts working ICU and they are the worst pts to have. They are all drug dependant and very manipulative. they can make a 12hr shift feel like an eternity. At least being in the ICU I can snow the shit out of them and tie them down.

I would suggest finding your nearest lvl I trauma center and applying for a CNA job in their ICU or ER. You will gain the most experience and you will be batting people away with job offers come graduation day.

I see what your saying. That's really good advice, thank you. I certainly don't want to get into something where I am not gaining experience. I really don't want to get stuck in longterm care either. Not that I mind working with the elderly, just that I would like to be able to keep my options open.

I agree. pdaddy is spot on. I almost actually wrote that last paragraph in my previous post, but deleted it. Seems whenever you give out good advice on EF no one takes it.

V, go find out what they require you have in the ER to become a tech. They may want you to have EMT, or maybe just BLS (CPR card). Apply for ER. I doubt you have a lvl I trauma center near you as I think you're in podunk, CO, near mitch. But the only real difference between lvl I and lvl II is a burn unit. You can also float and pickup shifts in other parts of the hospital likely. You will get a ton of experience and knowledge working in the ER.

stop making excuses for copying me.

I went back and looked, we weren't even quoting the same post. You called her crazy and I called her clueless. Pretty sure girls already know they're crazy, not much of an insult. One point Puddle.

Actually, I'm not in the sticks, there are several hospitals close to me. I will have the BLS by the time I'm done with the CNA course. I'll see what is necessary to become an ER Tech. I don't want to get suck in longterm care. I do appreciate the advice. I really want to keep my options open.

I had some grey goose and sex tonight and I'm tired as fuck. Loading my sound machine app on my phone right now.

Lol, I went out with a group of six men, had two drinks and absolutely no sex and now I can't effin sleep. :( I had fun thou. It's nice to be treated like one of the guys.

but you wish you did.

Haha, four of them were guys from my gym. Judging by the looks they were getting I'm sure a lot of women were wishing they did. This is where personality comes into play and I feel nothing but friendship for those boys. I'm sure a lot of people have those friends that they see as good looking but there is no actual sexual attraction.

Lies....statistics show that 4/6 of those guys want to fuck you, one of them is a closet mo, and you want to fuck and/or have already the other one.

I was just saying that I wasn't interested on fucking any of them so in that respect your wrong. And yea, they are gym rats full of testosterone so I imagine many of them are sitting in the friend zone waiting for me to give 'em the go. And yes on the closet mo, who do you think tells me what they say behind my back? :qt:

were they staring at your tits the whole night?

Why? So you can avoid calling me one? Or so you know what to say to hurt me if I ever step out of line?

ugh...V. I remember reading this post earlier but for some reason it still lingers. It brings up bad memories. It hurts worse when what they seemed to admire you for in the beginning is what they use to subtly degrade you over time. I've found myself in a relationship like that once, and most of my relationships were healthy! All of them were, basicallly. I just happened to run into a narcissist, I was unlucky. Thank god it was a short one, but those sting for quite a while. lol I remember wanting to get out and then attending a church service about selfless love...just to go back and put up with it all in the name of unconditional love... :shudder:
