No almonds?[
I love raw almond slices, tough to do portion control with those!

for me, it's chicken and rice, indian style
basmati rice, diced (skinless/boneless) breast meat, salt, cumin, black cumin, sauteed onions, bay leaves, cinnamon, clove, black cardamom

Spices? I know me some spices!

My shopping list as far as flavorings go:

Dried and whole flavors:
Chile Powder
Garlic powder
Fresh Garlic
Ginger
Rosemary
Curry Powder
Cheyenne Pepper
Cummin
Black Pepper, whole, get a grinder
Kosher Salt
Lemon + herbs seasoning

Fresh herbs:
Thyme
Basil

Things to soak in, slather on:
Apple Cider Vinegar
Basalmic Vinegar
Low sodium Soy Sauce
Teriyaki sauce
Lawreys 30 minute marinades.
BBQ sauce
Rice Wine
Lime Juice
Lemon Juice

I can go on. Flavoring things is easy. Get to experimenting.

Heres an easy recipe for some awesome chicken:

Buy a fryer hen at the store, precut if your lazy like me, rip all the skins and fat off. Doesn't take long. Get a decent sized plastic container with a lid, throw the chicken in. Fill it 1/2 the way up the chicken with water, then the rest with apple cider vinegar, then put a generous ammount of basalmic vinigar in. Add to that thin cut fresh ginger, 1/4 cup, 2 cloves crushed or minced garlic, 2-3 sprigs worth of rosemary leaves, a teaspoon or more cheyenne pepper, teaspon of salt too.

Let it sit overnight, grill the next day. Don't waste the leftover chicken parts. Make some soup stock out of it.
