Give me your staples on what you buy at the grocery store, and any secret seasonings or sauces you use to make our chicken breasts taste better.

Like I found this Carb Options Barbeque Sauce, 2 TBSP is only 10 calories as opposed to regular BBQ sauce is 70 cals.

Tabasco
Salsa
Carb Options BBQ

Jalapenos out of the jar can make lots of foods taste better and are good for you

Balsalmic Vinegar is 5 cals per serving and pretty good on salads

my shopping list is pretty much
chick breasts
tunafish
canned black beans
canned pinto beans
low fat cottage cheese
shredded fat free cheddar cheese
low carb tortillas
eggs
carb countdown skim milk
flax oil
fish oil

what else can I eat?

What about lean red meat? I would not have lasted this long if I didn't have lamb at least once every other week.

really? lamb is lean?

my grocery store has this Springer Hill 99% FF Ground Beef that costs $4.99/lb., but it still tastes like it has quite a bit of fat to me, I guess that's OK. I make meatloaf out of it with a little ketchup, eggs, bell pepper & onion

well all of you people besides nycgirl are awful

I guess I have to move this to one of the lesser traffic forums to get a proper response

I guess George is right, we should move every thread to the board where it belongs lol

chicken
ground turkey
salmon
shrimp
tuna

those are my protein staples, chicken being the most consumed. I also eat steak but it's pricey so only once per week or less.

I usually cook chicken plain, in the oven. I'll eat it through out the week, shop it up in small pieces and mix it with brown rice and salsa, brocolli, black beans, eggs, etc.....

ground turkey I also usually cook it plain, and put it in a strainer to drain all the grease off of it. Last week I added a can of diced tomatos to it with a table spoon of minced garlic and it made it taste real good. I eat it mixed with the same stuff as chicken. I basically use salsa and tabasco to flavor everything.

Here's a seafood concoction I like to make. 1 lbs of salad shrimp (the real small ones), 4 cans of tuna, 1 cucumber, 2 tomatos, 4 lemons, 1 bushel of cilantro, 1 anaheim chili

cut the cucumber and tomatos into small pieces (squares), dice the cilantro. Place everything in a large bowl, squeeze lemons into bowl and mix it all up. Add tabasco to taste. That makes about 5-6 meals, high in protein, some fiber and low carbs.

This weekend I discovered brown rioce pasta at Trader Joes. It's pretty good. Made it with some shrimp and marinera sauce.
