chicken
ground turkey
salmon
shrimp
tuna
those are my protein staples, chicken being the most consumed. I also eat steak but it's pricey so only once per week or less.
I usually cook chicken plain, in the oven. I'll eat it through out the week, shop it up in small pieces and mix it with brown rice and salsa, brocolli, black beans, eggs, etc.....
ground turkey I also usually cook it plain, and put it in a strainer to drain all the grease off of it. Last week I added a can of diced tomatos to it with a table spoon of minced garlic and it made it taste real good. I eat it mixed with the same stuff as chicken. I basically use salsa and tabasco to flavor everything.
Here's a seafood concoction I like to make. 1 lbs of salad shrimp (the real small ones), 4 cans of tuna, 1 cucumber, 2 tomatos, 4 lemons, 1 bushel of cilantro, 1 anaheim chili
cut the cucumber and tomatos into small pieces (squares), dice the cilantro. Place everything in a large bowl, squeeze lemons into bowl and mix it all up. Add tabasco to taste. That makes about 5-6 meals, high in protein, some fiber and low carbs.
This weekend I discovered brown rioce pasta at Trader Joes. It's pretty good. Made it with some shrimp and marinera sauce.
