Your funniest training accident/injury

Just the other day I was doing weighted ab crunchs. I was straining on the last few and I leaned my head to the side a little then SMACK right into the bench. Had a huge knot :o

One time I was fucking with my partner and acted like I couldnt lift my bench. He started picking it up and then when he noticed I wasnt serious he was like "oh fuck you" and dropped the weight. Then I REALLY couldnt get it up because the weight slammed on my chest and I couldnt breath. He thought I was still fucking around. He finally decided I wasnt when I started turning red :D

Donkey calves is not the most hetero looking exercise, i can see why they were laughing bro:FRlol: :rainbow:

this wasnt me, but my 8th gym teachers told me about a student that was using a leg press machine, and his feet slipped off at full leg extension, and the foot placement thing slammed back and hit the kids shins, snapping them in half.

My best one so far happened early on in my PL training.

We were doing speed bench, and Hannibal had set the rack up with two minis for me to do a 3 board press on. I'd never done anything with bands before, so that was a different experience in and of itself.

As soon as I unracked the bar, it came crashing down to the board as the rack came up from the floor, pinning me in between. Seems Hannibal hadn't placed dumbbells on the base of the power rack, and it all came together.

Spatts still says if not for the board, I probably would have had a broken sternum, and then the bar would've come up and broken my jaw.

After a brief break during which the rack was weighted down, I got back on the bench and finished my sets.

That was some scary shit...I can't fathom the length of a nanosecond, but it couldn't have been much more than that between unracking the bar and instant pinning. It was fast and hard...I hate to think what would've happened if not for the boards.

I suppose my worst was just a few weeks ago. I was doing something...can't remember what, and fell forward with the weight. My SPOTTERS *AHEM* must've been in the corners getting down with their bad selves, so to speak, because I proceeded to attempt stapling my face to the floor via a barbell to the pituitary...while still sitting on the box. Pins at the bottom of the rack broke my fall just as my chin brushed the floor.

Man, I was pissed...

Has anyone tripped in a gym before and accidently rammed an olympic bar up their ass?

Better yet, has anyone accidently tripped and accidently fell into someones ass tongue first in the gym before?? An accidental rim-job??

Just curious. :)

1.A few years ago I put a loaded bar in the squat rack after my last set of deads.I guess I was in a hurry, and was taking off 2 plates per side.I ended up having 3 on one side, and had just taken 2 of the 3 off of the other side.Just as I pull them off,the one side starts to flip over, just as a guy(that would have killed me)was walking by that side.So...I automatically dropped the 2 45's,and grabbed the bar..saving him.The 2 45's broke my toe :/
2.I was working on snatch form with 115lbs,and at the top,my arms kept going backwards,so I had to drop the bar from overhead...no bumper plates
Having bad gas,and screaming f*ck,in front of a girl's parents, which you are trying to impress, after someone accidently hits you in the knee with a dumbell,is never a good thing either

Got pinned by 75 lbs barbell bench in first few months of training

was doing squat lockouts with 495, one of safety pins slid off, and I had to stand there with 495 with my core shaking and me scared for about 10 seconds until my partner put the pin back in

tried snatches and as i was about to overhead squat it, it fell on me, and i did a back roll.. it missed me by a hair

[/I can't count the number of max attempt snatches I have done this with. That is why bumper plates are crucial, b/c this is actually the proper way to miss.

That reminds me of another painfull lesson I learned with a max clean and jerk. I pulled low b/c it was probably too much and so I never got my arms clear into the rack position at the bottom, so I ended up taking 365 lbs of compression on my right forearm which was pinned between my thigh and the bar... it hurt for 6 months:D
