I'm not huge into eliciting values. To me it seems like a form of supplication -- find out what she wants and then be it. It's changing yourself to fit her reality. I'd much rather suck her into my reality. A good way to do this is by qualifying her.
Besides, all of that "ideal man" talk puts her in relationship mode. That's not where I want her to be, considering I want sex.
