Today I feel like shit, I'm a pretty tough cookie but today my period really gave it to me hard, my cramps are coming in like damn contractions, I wanna throw up because of the pain and my stomach/womb feels hot/on fire... WTF I have never felt like this before, I'm literally tearing... I had some ibuprofen to see if it calms down because I'm at work, I had to go into the bathroom and cry a bit while getting the stronger cramps, I hate being a chick sometimes....

It seems the older I get the worse my body behaves... fml....

Have any of you ever felt just uselessly ill from your period?

I used to before I got pregnant. Now I don't feel shit...one of the perks of having a kiddo.

I'm sorry you feel bad

Do you feel any better now that the meds have kicked in? Take it easy tonight

Not as bad as that you poor thing.
Hot water bottle
Soothing warm herbal tea
Take like 3 ibuprofen
Ice cream
Movies/good tv show
It won't last forever
Hang in there!!!

Thanks ladies, 2 ibuprofen soothed me for about 4 hours, then the pain came back a bit but much more mild which I can tolerate, bout 10 min got stronger but bearable, it's just that early it was the weirdest thing ever, I rarely have issues or even cramps, but today was inexplicable with that warm/hot sensation....

My inlaws are staying with us until Saturday and we've been going to Olando outlet malls and stores and driving so I'm very tired, I guess tired + period = Hell

No ice cream cuz they are a bunch of diabetic lactose intolerant suckers :(

I know what your goig through girl, I used to literally be in bed the whole day the first day of my period, the cramps really did feel like contractions, (your uterus is actually contracts while u have your period)
I was diagnosed with severe dysmenorrhea in my late teens, I couldnt go anything the first day of my period, it was so life restricting...
and Cindylu is right it gts better after u have kids, I still get mild cramps but nothing like before..

What I find works for me is to drink plenty of water, take Ibuprofen even if the pain went away, keep taking it at the right time, heating pad is your best friend, or take a soaking bath in super hot water..
& drink a glass or 2 of wine, alcohol thins the blood..

& yes, have some ice cream, buy your inlaws some lactose free ice cream, wait I think it exists... :worried: lol

Hope u feel better :)

I hope you feel better and happy asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you on birth control?

I personally am not because I'm not a fan of those hormones, and I have no good enough reason to be considering I'm regular and have no real cramps or anything with my period, but my sister apparently gets killer pain. She used to not even move much during her period, like she could barely get through a day, and her BC helps a ton with it she says.

We found no sugar added for the diabetic (there was no sugar free) but found only one icky tub of vanilla lactose free, but now they're gone and I have delicious candy bar publix premium ice cream ^_^

I'm pretty sure having kids is the worse pain ever so I rather stay kid free ;)

I hope you feel better and happy asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi! glad to see you here! :wavey:

Been using same BC for almost 8 years now, best stuff ever, once a month shot, has ovarian and uterus cancer fighting properties, love the stuff so much I demand people bring me some when they visit me from Costa Rica ^_^ I have like a year's worth still!
