Workout Question??

New member
If i work out one body part per day on a regular basis, but all of the sudden i will be out of town for 3 days, could i double up my workouts, one in the morning and one in the evening. Like today, i did shoulders this morning, could i go and do back tonight, and tomorrow, legs in am, and chest in pm, and on weds do bis and tris in am. I know you can work out 2 body parts per day, but what about my recovery time from the prvious week, i mean i am not sore or anything so i would think i would be ok. And would this trhow off the following week.

Thanks
Brian

Would like to see your entire routine before saying what you could do. I would simply just combine my workouts to where I did chest, shoulders, tric one day, back and bi on another, and legs on another.

You lift 5 days straight? Ouch!!!!!

I still suggest combining your workouts for 3 days, and simplify it greatly.

i need to go to the gym 5 days a week, or i feel like i can miss more , you know what i mean. Plus i feel i can work out these body parts harder by doing them one each day, then grouping them all together.

if your trying to bulk make sure you take a day off during the week because that is the best way to grow when you are trying to put on mass. I was able to put on a good 10 punds of mass in two months when it was time for me to bulk and i trained five days a week but two days on one day off. try that it should be really good.

If you feel that you need to go to the gym 5 days a week...then go 5 days a week...but don't LIFT 5 days a week. 3 days a week is plenty...and the other two days you could do some cardio....20-30 min or so...just so you can say that you went. If you are trying to drop some fat, too....that would help out nicely without affecting your muscle growth!

Fat guy, your body doesn't know how many days it's been since you went to the gym. It rips, recovers, and then you work again. That's the point of spacing a workout is to allow recovery before re-ripping the fibers. So yes, you can skip three, then do them all at once, as long as you allow them time to recover before training them again. The number of days you use in your split (3, 4, 5, etc..) is something we humans make up for scheduling and to feed our OCD nature. Your body doesn't know how many hours are in a day and days in a week. Feed it well so it can recover, and if you skip three days, adjust your cals to suit the lower demand temporarily.

Mass is the last thing i need to put on right now. I am about 5 10 and 280. I am keeping track of everything i do from working out to eating, etc.... I want to know exactly what is going in and out of me. Does anyone know a good site to get nutritional values of food. ie Protien per carbs per and fat per serving. Thanks for all the response so far, you all rock.
