Again you feel special because he is picking up the tab that is what your saying. I am saying I don't need that to happen to feel special.

No, I very seriously doubt that you or blueta feel obligated to have a sex with a man because someone bought you dinner. You must have misread the post.

all us that say that, we dont feel obligated, we feel that thats whats expected. Doesnt mean we'll go and fulfill the expectation.



And on a side note, I agree with some posters that said that they wouldnt want a man paying for the whole tab until they are fully a couple, like they were going out for months or so. Then I would feel comfortable with that. Until then, a gentle touch and nice words are enough to make me feel special and wanna stick around. Thats just me. Everyone is different

Well, I wasn't talking about you and blueta. I never said you would, nor would I expect it from you two. I read your guys posts. You have a different viewpoint on it than I do, and that is cool. Jeez, nothing to get uptight about.

The thread was just meant for the women to express their opinions on the topic. My viewpoint is lots more old fashioned, probably. I haven't been knocking anyone one way or the other.

Yeah, people can take it the way that they like. If I were all about money, I would not have married a man who made less than I did.

My views may be old fashioned about dating, but I just feel that dutch dates are very unromantic. When he asks, he pays. When I ask, I'll pay or make dinner or something.
It can be a picnic, a cup of joe, a walk or whatever. I just don't like coldness of dutch dating.

Sorry to say HR, but thats what got me too - that "women with low self esteem" crap. Until then, it looked like we are only putting out our thoughts. Maybe you ment it a different way, but re-read it again while thinking that someone else wrote it and you will feel me what I'm saying.
