There is a difference between mental retardation and intelligence.

The mean IQ of children usually is equal to the mean IQ of their parents. Environmental factors like nutrition and the blood supply to the fetus during pregnancy may make some difference.

There is no evidence that any of the stuff that you are taking causes genetic malformations. In men, the only well known factor that affects sperm quality is age. There are other factors which may decrease sperm COUNT, but not sperm QUALITY. I don't think any of the stuff you mentioned has any effect on sperm quality.

I said, clearly, that it is all guessing at this point. I THINK is different that I KNOW. Truth is no one can say for SURE that something will or won't cause mental retardation. You can estimate the likelyhood. I have two individuals on my caseload who are both mentally retarded. They have 3 children who are of normal intelligence. There is no telling who will have a mentally retarded child. One of the children may have a child with MR, or the child may have a child with MR, or no one will, who knows. I have yet to hear of a case of mental retardation becuase the parent did steroids.
