WHY...(the I just left the gym and I am huge walk)

Yeah, its hillarious, but I usually try to ignore them. I hate people watching me when I train so I try to block it out. The power was out at my gold's for a couple of days, and I had to train at the other one in town this week on monday and tuesday. It was nice because I know alot of the girls over there and chatted with them, but when I got there on monday morning, there were several totally out of shape guys over 30 walking around like that. Then once I start training, every time I finish a set, half of them are staring at me. Its like "Damn, haven't you guys ever seen someone use the 150 ibs dumbells before?" It's not like there aren't any competetive bodybuilders or powerlifters who go to that gym. I don't mind 2 or 3 girls watching me, but it just makes me feel uncomfortable when 15 people are staring when I'm trying to focus on my training.

It never bothers me what someone acts like as long as it doesn't effect my workout, i.e. bicep curls in the squat rack for 20 minutes as a sort of queue evolves, or kids who train in groups of 6+ and they set up on the bench next to you and you get several kids constricting your movement as they mill around.

Ok, I 'm guilty. I don't have very big lats, by when I train them, they get pumped like crazy. It's way up in the high part near my armpit, too. If they are pumped, it is very hard for me to put my arms down...it's uncomfortable. I don't TRY to walk like that, I just can't help it.

I walk like that, but that's because I'm a fatass. Don't laugh at me. :bawling:

Depends what you were using them for, I am sure if you were doing Lateral raises with them I'd probably stare. :eyes:

Well I did do some shoulder work afterwards... but no I was using them for incline presses. Had to get a spotter to help me get them into the correct position, I think he was worried that I was going to ask him to help me with forced reps or something...
If I saw some guy doing laterals with 150's I would want to know who he is, and what he is on.

Hey i walked like this for 6 years from the time i was 15 even still today. but i just was getting ready for the time when my lats are actually there. so once they grew in about a year ago, i didnt look so funny.
