I sure as hell don't feel better and more energetic after maxing out my 4th set of squats, and then doing hamstring curls and then calf raises and then trying to run for 20 minutes, I can tell you that. Energetic? How about seeing stars and close to exhaustion?
If you feel energetic and physically better after a workout, you're not working hard enough.
