Why do so many people refuse to do legs???

'cause a REAL leg workout hurts so good!
and it's easy for the slackers to wear baggy pants

PS. women DO notice the guys who work legs hard- loooovvee watching 'em!

No Offense but:

I think these are the reason:
1# "chicks only dig abs and biceps"
2# "i dont want to break my spine.....i heard a gym at the gym broke his spine last week(or some other made up story/excuse)"
3# "im 15.....i have read that you will stunt your growth"
4# "i walk/ride everywhere i go.....thats enough isnt it?"
5# "its too hard"

Thats what i hear all the time.

1# When I am twice your size upper and lower body they cant even see you behind me so you wont get noticed so its time to squat.
2# Lame excuse and you could get hit by a car anyday but if you get hurt lifting at least it is your choice not someone elses so its time to squat.
3# Your 15, no offense but I have been studying and practicing and training people in fitness since you were 3 so its time to squat.
4# No its not enough your gonna have legs that should hang out of a nest so its time to squat.
5# if its too hard just quit going to the gym cause your too lazy and it only gets harder from your age and you dont even realize that its time to squat.

Basically what I am saying is that if you do not squat and work legs your entire body will suffer in developement so

It's time to squat

Abbaddon: why would that post offend me?
They were not MY reasons not to train legs.
I was poking fun at peoples excuses.

Im 21.
I squat twice a week as part of a powerlifting program.
I have permanent knee tendon damage(dont we all?) but that doenst stop me from squating

IMO, huge legs do not look normal, they look stupid, and right now, my upper body isn't too big for my legs, i.e. I don't look like a lawndart.

DaveNY

Yeah, but you know what? A big upper body doesn't look normal either. That's kind of the point of lifting weights, ain't it? To change how you would look normally or to change your physique from normal to exceptional.

Used to never squat - started a few years back and my whole body has grown because of it! Some people are just afraid. They know it's hard, it's heavy, and they break down just thinking about it instead of nutting up and getting under the bar.

alright don't rip me for thiss.. but it's only what someone told mee.. and this guy is pretty massive so i'll take his wordd for it.. he told me that when you work out your legs, they release a hormone to the rest of your body as apposed to not working them.. case and point.. work out legs along with upper body = get bigger than you would working upper body without legs.. anyone ever heard this before? think of a tree with a massive top... but a pencil for a trunk.. that be something to see.. anywayz.. yeah work out legs or look like an idiot in the future..

i bet there about a couple 1000 of people on this board that do'nt train legs too. why don't you guys post and tell us?

i think they just don't know any better. they are just in it for the "beach" muscles. true girls and people in general do notice the upper body more i guess. legs are so important though. i know a couple guys with some pathetic looking legs and it just makes me laugh, top heavy mother fuckers. and their upper bodies aren't all that either. i for one look down upon people who don't do legs
