Guys have nipples for the same reason that girls have clits. Humans, like all mammals, do not sexually differentiate until a few weeks into fetal development. Both genders have the same parts, until they begin producing hormones which cause the proto-gonads to form into either male or female bits.

Ovaries = Testicles (same as above)
Fallopian tubes = vas deferens (same as above)

Why do men have nipples is a common question. Men without nipples look really strange. Check out the roll overs on that page to see what I mean. I have posted on that page a discussion about this issue.
