Whole eggs or boiled?

So I have a question. What is the best way to absorb all the protein from your eggs?

Eating it whole (raw) esp. the OMEGA-3 eggs, OR would you boil them?

Boil them, but dont eat to many whole eggs, becuase of the cholesterol levels, so try to find liquid egg whites and cook those up.

I heard the cholesterol in eggs is the "good cholesterol" aka which lowers the bad.
So I think it's a good idea to eat the whole egg itself.

i drink a lot of raw eggs. never done me any harm. the first thing i do after waking up is put 6 whites and 2 whole eggs in a glass, top it up with milk and down it.
there is a company that sells pure pasteurized egg whites, but imo its a waste of money, when you could just drink them raw anyway.

Boiled, or scrambled (in a microwave). I never through out the yolk!
Never eat raw eggs. Salmonella doesn't help you build muscle - lol.

true, and the muscle wasting effects of not being able to hold down food/vomiting it straight back up for a while should not be ignored. all im syaing is thta i think the risk is exaggerated. i have been doing it years and never got ill. i would not do it with cheap eggs that i didnt know the source of though, i get mine straight from the farmer, no longer than a couple of days old.

Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL): accumulates in the arteries, eventually hardens and causes stenosis (narrowing) which leads to atheroslcerosis, increased bp, and heart problems.

High Density Lipoprotein (HDL): Most people refer to this as "the good kind or the Healthy cholesterol."

HDL picks up LDL and takes it back to the liver and is eventually excreted.

Notice both are lipoproteins and not 'cholesterol.'

also you only need 300mg/a day

I would buy liquid egg whites, they really arent that expensive. Just go to Walmart or whereever you buy your food, and look for liquid egg whites or "egg beaters" they come in a carton and they don't taste that horrible, just add pepper, and maybe a low fat cheese.

exactly.
but if you know this, i was just curious as to why you said "there is no such thing as good cholesterol"

Because the HDL eventually picks up LDL. But also I mean it more to the extent of there is no such thing as a "good cholesterol source"

OT: Can anyone explain why I have to wait 10 mins inbetween my posts?

ah ok now im with you.

you still have to wait 10 mins between posts? normally you just have to make 100 posts before that restriction is removed, its just there to stop people coming on here, spamming silly. but you say its still happening?

I only have 10 posts, that kinda sucks I have to wait until 100 posts, because for me to 100 posts that will take me 16 hours( in all relativity) im not here to spam though. Im just trying to learn and also share the knowledge I have, hopefully some how I dont have to wait until 100 posts.

lolol i was looking at your karma and mistaking them for your posts-i thought you had 111 posts. silly me.
i know your not a spammer, unfortunately the 100 post rule applies to everyone. give it a few days, you will be surprised how quick 100 posts goes.
iv read a few of your posts, you seem to have a very good grasp of nutrition, can i ask how that came about? what do you do for work?

I'm only 17 years old man, I am just really interested in nutrition and supplementation. I have done tons of research and gathered all of the information I could. Ha so for a job its nothing like a dietician or anything, i just work for my dad haha.

good on you mate. you sure do seem to know a lot about nutrition for 17 years old. are you planning to make a career out of it?
so what are you into-sports/bodybuilding?

Im really stuck on what im going to do, im going into my last year of high school this year than its college. Im either going to go for business, dietetics, or exercise science.
Right now im into bodybuilding, im planning on competing some time in the next couple years, although im no where near ready for that.

so decision time is rapidly approaching? if it were me, i would go with what i enjoy doing. a job is a job, money is all good but if that is the only reason you do it it will end up making you miserable.
besides, imo, you are far more likely to succeed in what you do if you are genuinely interested in it.

I know, Im interested in all 3 so it is a very very tough decision. Well i just have to narrow it down to 2 out of those 3 because I will major in one field and than minor in the other.

f**king love it. so much. i have alwasy been the kind of person that has to keep busy, i couldnt deal with sitting infront of a pc all day. and i have always been fascinated by anatomy and physiology, the human body, medicine etc. couple that with the fact that i love adventure and am a bit of an adrenaline junkie, and it really is the perfect job for me.
im not sure if you know this, but is it true that in the states you train as a paramedic and fighfighter combined?

I dont think that is true to a certain extent it might be though, because fire fighters have EMTs not sure what that stand for but its like a paramedic

Eating raw eggs isnt as beneficial as eating a cooked egg.

Raw eggs contain a protein that interferes with your body's absorption of Biotin, which is needed for healthy hair & skin.

Liquid egg whites that have been pasteurized are available as an alternative to 'raw' eggs.
