Have you ever read some of it?
Can anyone explain what my right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness really means? In the early 70's my uncle really didn't give a damn about the civil war in Vietnam. However, our government decided he should give a damn about it and forced him to go to some jungle where he was killed. It seems to me that the government violated his rights to life and liberty (you can also argue pursuit of happiness since it's fairly obvious that you can't be happy while people are trying to shoot you).
We are supposedly protected against "cruel and unusual" punishment. What the fuck does that mean? Isn't punishment cruel by nature? What in the hell is unusual punishment? The damn constitution is written so vaguely that it's meaningless.
Free speech is supposed to be protected. However in 1990 Luther Campbell was arrested and spent a night in jail for performing a rap concert. (He was acquitted at trial, however, if 12 dumbasses on the jury decided differently he could have been sentenced to a year in prison for violating a vaguely written obscenity law. I guess free speech only applies to things that no one finds offensive. (hmmm.. where do we find speech that doesn't offend someone)
