who squats and deadlifts in the same week?

anyone squat and deadlift in the same week?

for example
mon: squat
friday: dl

what kind of progress did you make? did they effect each other at all
 
Me :)

today I do snatches, snatch high pulls, snatch grip deads, deads, and front squats

earlier in the week I did heavy full oly squats

next workout will be band squats and jump squats
 
My deads have never affected my squats because I don't feel deads in my legs at all, only my back. I also usually have 3-4 days between them anyway.
 
also most of my deads are of the lighter variety - can't really go mega heavy on snatch grip deads, and I do mainly singles and doubles and cluster sets which don't tax the body as much.

I prefer bar speed over tonnage
 
Yes. I'll do one or the other balls out and alternate it the next week. I can do both heavy when on.

As I get bigger and stronger, I am finding that their is less interference between the two. I'll bet within the next year I'll be doing both all the time, flat out.
 
I do squats on monday and Stiff leg deads on friday. I have never really done regular deads cause i am never sure where to fit them into my routine.

I squat and then dead 3 days after....overall strength is up on everything as it should be...and i love it...wish i could do them both twicw a week, but i just started doing them both 3 weeks ago and my legs are growing as well as the weight in all my lifts...
