Who do you think is the strongest powerlifter of them all, WITH OUT THE EQUIPMENT, just think of it people actually having to lift their own weights.

Overall, hands down Garry Frank. I'm not sure if you really want to get into an equipment debate as you are insinuating. BTW, did you know Ed Coan now wears a dbl ply hardcore suit and a dbl denim bench shirt?? I have seen both men lift up close and Garry is the man.

Stongest man alive? Well that would probably be you strongestsurvive! No for real you gonna say Greg Kovacs arent ya? You know what, fuck the equipement issue. I gaurantee you that you know of no one who can lift more then any of the top, or hell national level powerlifters, with or with out gear! Shit i bet you know of no one who can lift more then me raw, I can tell by your sarcasim and your questions your a kid. So until you have a few meets raw or assisted under your belt, please save the equipment debate for real powerlifters. Event though real powerlifters lift heavy raw in traing and break records equiped! Just remeber no none sponsers raw lifters, and The WPO do not have a raw class either.

Hmmm...I'll be meeting Garry pretty soon...I'll let you know Naa...I hear that Garry is a great person and is a great power lifter. He has been down on his luck lately with bombing his lifts...but surely he will come out of it. He will be in Daytona this year!!!!

Excellent answer, Jay! This is definitely a silly point to argue. I've read about so many pepole who claimed to be the astongest person ever to walk the face of the earth: Vasily Alexyev, Bill Kaz, Manfred Hoeberel, OD WIlson, Anthony Clarke, Andrei Chemerov, Gary Frank, Paul Anderson etc. etc. Heck, there's even a guy here in South Africa who drives around in a sponsored car with big bold signwriting on the doors saying: "Wayne Price, World's Strongest Man" even though his best achievement ever is placing No. 8 in the 1995 WSM contest.

All of these guys are very strong in a certain discipline, no matter if they lift using equipment or not. How can you say who is the strongest, the Olympic heavywieght weightlifting champion or the WPO powerlifting champion? Not on of these two men will be able to duplicate the other's lifts and neither of them will beat Hugo Girard in a strongman contest. To even start to speculate if Gary Frank will still be the strongest powerlifter when lifting raw is just plain stupid.
